Antique Tibetan Gau, or portable shrine, in a metal repousse container with imagery of lotuses and various figures, within is a deity behind a small glass window. Directly below the deity is the face of Kirtimukha, a common image in Southeast Asian temples. The box is secured within a pouch woven of cotton and silk, with a long strap and small stone clasps. 19th century.

An Unusual Japanese Porcelain Kensui, late 18th Century.

A kensui is a pot in which the water is poured after rinsing a chawan during the tea ceremony. The enamelled design is unusual especially the bold use of iron-red. The base has a variation of the spiral fuku mark, used in the 1780’s. It is uncommon to find ceramics associated with the tea ceremony that can be safely dated to before the 19th century.

Japanese Cedar and Pine wood Writer's Box with Black Iron handle, hinges, and drawer pulls, Ca. early Meiji period, 19th C., 7" high, 11" deep front to back, 5 1/2" wide. Large open space under the hinged top is for storing Scholar's utensils. Push the small button on the side lock compartment to lift up the top. Two(2) drawers have black iron ring pulls. The condition is good, no damages. The black finish is original.

Antique Japanese two section cha tansu (tea chest) made with beautiful burl wood front drawer panels, and persimmon wood front frame, in all original lacquer finish. The top section has two burl sliding doors and two very large textured glass panel doors, the interior of which has very unique shelving with natural wood accents, lacquered in red. The bottom most section has six drawers, two small sliding burl panels and one hinged door...

An incredible Chinese Cizhou ware vase of a meiping form, the elongated oval body decorated in carved floral patterns in a cream crackle glaze, the short trumpet spout flanked by four cascading handles, the foot remains bare without glaze and slightly recessed. Northern Song Dynasty (11-13th century)

Japanese Kiri wood two(2) section Tansu, Kiri and Cedar chest on chest, Meiji period, before 1900, 42" high, 33" wide, 17" deep with 5 graduated size long drawers, and carved and engraved floral shape black iron back plates have different motif carvings, and black iron handles. Pine wood used in the back and split in some areas caused by dryness and old age, shows wear and tear in original condition, as found condition from Japan.

Japanese black lacquered woven Bamboo Trunk, Meiji period, early 1900's, 11" high, 25" x 15" wide, with large and heavy black iron handles supported by wooden board on both side, paper lining inside and metal hinges on top to open one side of the top cover. This Bamboo Trunk is good to storing Dolls and other necessary light weight items. There are some black lacquer loses on the surface.

Antique Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze statue of the deity Kubera, lord of wealth and protector over the world. He is typically shown holding a bag of jewels or fruit in one of his hands and a mongoose in the other. The mongoose symbolizes Kubera's victory over the Naga, or snake people, who watch over large hoards of treasures...

Antique Tibetan hand-carved wooden deity mask of Mahakala, a guardian diety, the fierce and powerful being and counterpart to Kali / Mahakali. His name means "Greater than Time" as he upholds ultimate rule and power over all forces, including time and death. This hand carved mask is indeed very fierce looking, with signs of wear and traces of old lacquer all throughout. Some losses.

Antique Japanese bronze statue of a hooded lady sitting upon a hardwood stand. She holds a cup in her hand with a small dish resting beside her feet. She is wonderfully sculpted with realistic detailing and form. The hardwood stand she is seated on is carved to look like rock formations with leaves and mushrooms with pigment traces. Antique Chinese porcelain statue of an immortal man, most likely Li Tieguai as he is depicted holding a gourd bottle to cure sicknesses and uses a walking stick. He is glazed in transparent, black, green, and light blue and wears a draping robe with cherry blossom patterns. Kangxi period (1662-1722)
