This is a classical form Song dynasty small moulded longquan or celadon dish with appliqué twin fish in the centre and an everted flatten flatten mouth rim. The exterior is moulded with an overlapping upright lotus petal radiating from the foot. The dish is glazed with an uneven light green colour with glaze crazing.

This is a very nice early example, showing double pin hole piercing for each eye. She wears a unique head turban that flows continuously from the head wrap to drape over both shoulders.
