Late Meiji (1890s to 1910s) netsuke of a standing fat baby boy wearing just a bib and holding a thick rope that serves as a collar for a puppy standing next to him. Excellent carving, great chubby face, superb depiction of his fat body and fingers. Nice flow to the rope with its twisted texture, expert use of black, orange and golden ink, beautiful wear and patina. Large Chinese Ming Dynasty Stoneware Jar with Spout
This unusual jar was made during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Apart from the short spout at the shoulder, it is a conventionally-shaped storage jar. The outer surface and inner mouth are coated in a black glaze. The glaze falls just short of the bottom of the jar leaving the concave base unglazed. Likewise, the inner surface also remains unglazed.

Antique Japanese 4 panel screen with rooster and hen. This unusual screen has gold lacquered open lattice work backed with the original sheer white silk. A beautiful scene of a blossoming plum tree, yellow daisies and chickens makes up the carved and painted foreground. The bottom portion of each panel is pierced carved and painted with scenes of rocks and cymbidium orchids.

This is an extremely rare type of ancient bronze weapon from the Mediterranean region. It has a blunt tip blade with a very prominent midrib that is nearly a cm thick!. The shaft is cylindrical but the tang is hammered square. The overall length is over 25 cm and the weight is 156 grams. This is a truly rare piece at a great price for any collection.

A most unusual square porcelain bowl with scalloped corners. Iy is brightly enameled with a plethora of flowers. Each corner features a bat that symbolizes fortune and good luck. This lovely Chinese bowl is in exceptional shape with minimal wear, no hairlines, chips, and free from restoration. Dated to the late 19th century, it measures 4.5 inches across by 2.25" high.

The central mikomi framed by a narrow atypical floral band depicts an oversized figure holding a rod standing upon a bridge with two oxen set in a classic Chinese “sansui” landscape’. A set of five soba choko, straight sided cups, so called boars mouth cups, decorated with a pattern of a grape vine and a wasp (hachi, bee, wasp or hornet) an autumnal motif. Japanese Late Edo - Early Meiji Period TAKEDA actor doll. The doll has GOFUN (powder made from oyster shells) head and hands, painted eyes, cloth and paper clothing, armor and weapons.
