Tall and slender jug in the shape of a storage jar for pickles or in the shape of an actual octopus pot (trap).
Grayish brown stoneware built up from coils of clay; the inside covered with green glaze, the outside left unglazed. On the outside sits a dark brown, three-dimensional octopus, the way an octopus would sit on an octopus trap under water, on its way to inspect the inside of the jug.

Black ink inscription, almost washed away completely.

This bowl bears a six-character Qianlong seal mark in iron red, but its shape and pattern suggests that it was made during the late 19th century Guangxu period...

A small sized kiri or paulownia wood tansu with iron decorative fittings and locks surrounding the drawers and the sides of the tansu. The locks are decorated with motifs in the form of a plant and curved features for the side fittings. The bottom of all the drawers contain an inscription of which drawer goes where and the name of the previous owner...

Two Georgian bucket bowl port or small wine glasses with panel-cut cups and stems, English, c 1800. One a little heavier than the other and with the pontil mark deep into the glass and partly visible, whereas to the other glass the pontil mark is polished flat. Height "4/ 10 cm. Condition: fine.

Old Japanese doll resembling the Kuge (aristocrat) from the Heian period (794-1185), 16 inches tall. This doll was probably one of the zuishin (imperial guard) dolls for the Hina Festival (Girl’s Day in Japan). His long face mostly resembles the Kyoho-bina which is the imperial pair dolls from the mid Edo period (1603-1868). Fiddle dinner spoon from Hall & Elton (1839 -1890), Connectitcut, the pointed shape of the blade indicates mid 19th century. Hall & Elton is known to have made lots of silvered cutlery. However, this spoon is tested for a silver content of at least 830/1000 (= Swedish silver standard), and so probably is coin silver. Sterling silver was introduced 1870 in America. Length "8 ¾ / 22.5 cm, weight 45 grams. Condition: fine.

Very rare Burmese wooden seated crowned Buddha or sometimes known as King Buddha, wearing diadem-crowns and ornaments of king instead of ordinary monk's robes, with gilded gold.

This Buddha is special with an opening niche at the back of the base to keep Buddha scroll, gemstone or Buddha relic.

Indian Himalayan Copper Yoni Lingam ceremonial vessel for Holy water, Dates from the 17th - 18th century. Forged from hand hammered copper, a tier-shaped vessel with a navel on the interior. Placed on stand, the vessel has a dramatic sculptural presence with a patina showing its use and age. The Yoni (vulva) is the symbol of the Hindu God Shakti.
