An unusually elaborate pottery figure of a female Attendant, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to late Ming periodc. 1550-1600 AD.

The lady is clad in a large thick robe, with an imposing hairdress and she is wearing a basket with red flowers and is standing on a round plint. She is glazed in torquise and dark blue colours.

Nicely painted facial details, careful thick glazing and a fine expression.

This is a very finely cast Tibetan bronze fragment dating to the 17th century or possibly earlier. It depicts a wrathful deity, possibly Vajrabhairava, complete with finely modeled skull crown/tiara to the wrathful head. A lovely porcelain covered box of the Ming Dynasty, Jiajing Period ( 1567 - 1572 ) with a blue and white floral decoration with Lion. Porcelain body, very nice Cobalt blue, covered with an excellent glossy glaze. Diameter : 6,9 cm. H : 5,5 cm. Condition : Perfect original condition. There are 2 firing cracks which can be seen on the last enlargement, but there is no later damage to the piece.

A well patinated 16th/17th Century bronze Gu form vase cast in archaic Shang dynasty style. This is from the collection of the late Reverend Victor Farmer. Condition - the interior base has been replaced or re-glued and there are the usual 'production' repairs - made at the time of manufacture. Wonderful pair of Ming Dynasty ceramic joss stick holders in the form of guardian lions in rich turquoise glaze on brown pedestals. Measure 6 3/4" high, 5 3/4" wide, and 2 1/2" deep. It was probably made in the 17th Century, during the late Ming or early Qing dynasty. This item is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai.
