Very finely detailed hand carved bone lime box from Timor, circa mid 20th century, with wooden stopper. L 10cm/4.1in. Included is anthropomorphic stopper from the Bataks near Lake Toba, Sumatra. They’re unrelated but somehow look like they belong together.

19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved in a shape of a pomegranate with leaves, part of its skin removed and revealing seeds inside. Good design, beautiful patina, in excellent condition. Height 11/16 inches. Wooden stand used for photography is not included.

Chinese burnished Neolithic bowl with side lugs, there is a repair on the edge noted in last enlargement and some of the black pigment in the design is not original. Majiayao culture circa 3000BCE. D: 12cm/4.8in and H: 6.8cm/2.6in.

19th century small Indian bronze votive sculpture of monkey god Hanuman cast in South India. His hands are held in praying gesture in front of him, and his tail forms a halo behind his head. Hanuman personifies ingenuity and faithfulness - his strength and courage helped Rama to defeat demon Ravana. Wonderful casting and detailing, pleasant patina. Height 1 15/16 inches.

Zabuton, a floor cushion made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. One side has kasuri pattern. It has four layers of cloth and sashiko (quilting) with white cotton yarn. Generally, in good condition but has wear or breaks in hems. Early 20th century. W:58cm, L:59cm.

19th century/Meiji period Japanese bone paper knife/page turner with low relief carving of a butterfly in flight above a flowering peony bush issuing from rocks. Good bronze small “lost wax cast” image of the Buddha being sheltered by Nagas. This piece was created in the 1980s emulating a Khmer style. Late Meiji period (1890s to 1912) Japanese wooden kushi (hair comb) with red and gold lacquer decoration of squares containing all different scenes with landscapes and flowers. Beautifully made out of dense wood allowing for fine teeth, very good lacquering, wonderful work in Japanese taste, overall in excellent condition. Length 4.36 inches.

Girl's kimono made of hamp, made in Ohmi region in Shiga prefecture, and it is called Ohmi-jofu. It has kasuri pattern, whose motifs are phoenix, cloud and flower.
