This is a Japanese antique tsutsugaki big furoshiki indigo dye cotton. The traditional and very auspicious design of bamboo, plum, and scales is very beautiful and impressive.There are 5 pieces of cloth sewn together. Natural indigo dyed hand spun cotton. Very well crafted Sino-Tibetan gilded cast bronze figure of Buddha, seated in a lotus position upon a lotus base; dressed in a finely relief robe and a censer in one hand. Circa 19th century era. Size; Height of figure is 8.75 inches with width of 7 inches. Condition Report; Condition is consistent with age.

Chinese jadeite pendant/toggle, carved with a dragon head along with a chilong, coins and ruyi scepter which has two splashes of green in contrast with the white matrix, the back carved with scrolls in low relief. Size; Height of pendant is 2 inches, in excellent condition.

An exceptional large and massive bronze 'Mat' weight, Chinese, Han Dynasty, c. 206 BC – 220 AD.

This weight which is probably dating to the Eastern Han, 25-220 AD, depicts a fancyful reclining animal, probably a Dog. Cast in bronze with fine archaic features and a round object at the right hind leg, which could be symbolizing a cash coin.
The beast was finely gilded and plated in antiquity and much of the gold is still visible on the surface...

Decorated with alternating layers of black and red cinnabar lacquer deeply carved to create intricate designs, the box has a beautiful sheen to the surface so that the layers of lacquer simply pop! On the bottom you can see the swirling layers of black lacquer. High quality and in excellent condition, it measures 3” diameter, 1” high.

An antique Japanese 2 Section Kamidana Tansu made of Keyaki (Zelkova), Hinoki (Cypress) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. The top section was used as a Shinto shrine with a multi-level platform and original paper charms still attached to the interior walls. Built into the platform are sliding doors where Shinto religious artifacts were stored.
