Chinese antique hardwood cabinet with interior shelving. The cabinet doors are carved with pine trees and bamboo. The lower egister is carved with a rectilinear design. The bottom has a fan, a bat, and a lychee branch.

Framed painting of a warrior with a drawn sword, holding a severed head in his hand. On his back a flag with the image of a skull. Perhaps one of the heroes of the Taiheiki, such as Endo Giemon Masatada. But between Kuniyoshi and other Utagawa artists, several series of heroes were produced. Unsigned. The style of Utagawa Kuniyoshi or Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. Black ink and colors on paper, mounted as a scroll, cut and framed. Japan, Edo period, 19th century.

Chinese pair of moon viewing chairs, made of huang-huali hardwood with dramatic grain. Carved in faux bamboo. Each chair handcrafted for a comfortable reclining position and matched with a slide out foot rest. The joints show sign of shrinkage and patina of its age and condition.

He comes down to transport the newly deceased devotee to the Western Paradise. In the middle Amida, to his right the bodhisattva Seishi, hands folded in prayer, to his left Kannon holding the lotus throne for transporting the deceased to Paradise.
