Each figure is cast in such detail as to highlight long curling hair, beards, and jolly expressions. The men wear flowing robes and jewelry in a manner which suggest they may represent foreigners of some sort...
A cheerful Japanese Arita "Imari" bowl with a spotted lion dog looking at a waterfall. This scene is repeated in 3 cartouches surrounding the bowl's exterior. Enameled with vivid palette of colors, it is in very good original condition. No repairs, hairline, etc. Spurious Chinese mark on bottom reads "Greatest Ming Chenghua Make". Measures 7.75 Inches in diameter by 3.75" high.

Unusual mask with flat top, small forehead, relief pierced through eyes, protruding nose, open mouth showing pierced through teeth, short rounded chin. Wood, dark patina. Remnants of thin superimposed layers of polychrome pigments. Himalayan Region, early 19th century, probably earlier. Height: 10 1/4" (26 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand which enhances its strange beauty. Old accident at base of chin, some erosion and flaking, otherwise very good condition...

Exceptionally large and serene lacquer antique Buddha dressed in royal robes, intricately inlaid with inset flat glass/mirror mosaics backed with colored foil and further decorated with moulded relief work forming beautiful spirals. The Buddha is seated in "bhumisparshamudra" (subduing Mara), his left hand rests palm upward, on his lap, and the right hand rests on his right knee, calling the Earth to witness...
This is cotton child Kasuri kimono of Edo period. As for this, a pattern is Hagoita, Hane and Hami of the harness. Hagoita play is play of New Year holidays. As for this, Yokote Kasuriga is used for Edo period of Akita. This has two or three places of stains, but does not stand out. This does not have damage. The state is complete.

Wonderful antique Japanese tea ceremony tray to serve sweets. Meiji Period c.1890 made of persimmons wood with rich patina and undulating edges. Inscripted on the tray in flowing japanese characters are the kanji reading 'sei ogi-zo' meaning realized sage and the maker's signature which we can't read. Excellent condition. c.1890.
