A fine silver kiseru (kizeru) pipe with natural bamboo body, the ends finely engraved with a dragon and tiger in the bamboo grove. The color of the central bamboo section is dark (almost black) with purple tint. The eye (eyes) is inlaid with gold (very small though). Circa 1900. 7 1/4” (18.8cm)

This is a small & superb handcrafted Chinese yixing zhisa teapot in red stone clay. It's in excellent condition. The teapot is marked with the MENGCHEN on the base.
A Chinese Bronze Censer, Qing Dynasty. Diameter approximately 11.2 cm (across handles), height approximately 4.5 cm (without the stand) 6.7 cm (with the stand). The censer has few tiny dents. Good condition.

A pair of Japanese lacquered iron abumi (stirrups) decorated with gold lacquer on a roiro ground. It has butterfly family crests (mon) in the center of a scrolling leaf and flower border, the interior in red lacquer.
The butterfly design was a favorite among the aristocrats and was seen in their belongings, ox-carts and attire during the Heian period (794-1192). They were also seen in armor of the Heike (Taira family) before power was shifted to the Genji (Minamoto family) samurai...
