A stoneware bottle with an very decorative Guan-like glaze. Although the shape of this rare piece is clearly a Song Dynasty shape reference images from a reputable Chinese porcelain site point to a dating to the Ming Chenghua period. Since there is a copyright to this reference images I cannot show them here. H : 10,8 cm. Condition : Chipped to the rim as you can see this on the images, further in perfect condition ( body not cracked ).

A rare and unusual 18th Century Gu form copper vase decorated with flower scrolls in bright famille rose enamels against a blue ground. This is one of the best Shounai-Noren used in Shonai, Yamagata area for Edo period. As for the hemp of this item, a delicate thread spun by hand is used. The pattern is full of Chadougu which was popular in Shikoku. Chadougu is an instrument used at tea ceremony. The Chadougu design reached shounai by a goods-carrying merchant ship. The artist Fujita displayed cloth full of Chadougu in the atelier of Japan. There was the picture near a great painter without sense of incongruity...

Attractive small bowl, possibly a brush washer. Diameter: 11 cm, H. 4,5 cm. Excellent condition. China, Song Dynasty (960-1279).

The body of the bowl is covered with a thick greenish-creamy-grey glaze whose surface appears like old polished marble. The crackles in the glaze are very attractive. Most probably Ming Dynasty, sixteenth century or earlier. Diameter : 14,6 cm. H : 7,2 cm. Condition : Perfect.

This unusual Chinese export enamel and silver filigree Foo dog is 5 ¾” high (with base is 7” high), 4” wide and 2” thick. The Foo dog sits on a globe with its mouth open. Three small coral and turquoise pieces are missing from his head. Most of lacquer finish on the wood base has worn off. Otherwise, it is in fairly good condition.
