Ryusa Manju type ivory netsuke with openwork decoration and in the center a shishi, a Japanese mythological creature representing a lion or a lion dog, looking backwards.
The frame around the Shishi features an accurate karakusa 唐草 decoration, a motif of stylized branches and leaves of Chinese origin.

This is a bronze dagger from the Dong Son culture in ancient Southeast Asia. It measures roughly 263 mm and weighs 144 grams. It has a spectacular cuprite crystal patina on one side that I could not capture in the photos. There are also the remnants of a wood scabbard in the patina that should be visible in the photos.This piece has stable metal with a sculpted round handle and slender triangular blade. There are no signs of repair to this wonderful dagger.
Height approximately 26.6 cm. There is a little bit slight different color on the neck. In good condition.

It is an item from the Edo to Meiji era.
This item was made in Sado region of Japan.
It is a wonderful sakiori noragi haten, which is woven with very finely twisted indigo dye, hemp yarn and paper twist.
The rubbing of the thread due to use has a warm touch.
And the indigo dye lumps seem to look into the very beautiful sea.
It does not stain or damage...
