Interesting stem cup, with well potted flared sides raised on a tall conical stem foot, richly applied inside and out with a dark brown glaze. The bottom of the foot are glazed white with a six character Wanli imperial mark. measurement: Height 9.4 cm = 3.7 in Diameter 11.1 cm = 4.4 in. Condition: Ship on the foot ring. Manufacturing glaze defect in the center of the cup.

This is a magnificent greyware vase or hu from ancient China. It dates to at least the Han period (209 BC- 220 AD) but is likely from the Warring States period (circa 500 BC). There are soil encrustations and remnants of root fibers on the surface. There are no signs of repair or restoration. There are taotie handles scultped in the clay to mimic ritual bronze vessels of the same period. This was done because often bronze was too expensive so likenesses were made out of pottery...
This is a genuine, archaic Chinese nephrite axe or Gui scepter. The surface has the expected smooth, "waxy" feel to it. The end is sharpened (which leads me to think it was made as a prestige axe as opposed to a scepter, although the literature seems to view pieces such as this one as either/both an axe and a Gui scepter; e.g. Rawson in Chinese Jade - I've included photos of the pieces listed there for reference)...

This is a beautifully carved nephrite jade ring whose exterior is encircled by a sinuous dragon. The interior diameter is one-inch (1"); exterior diameter is 1-3/4" at the widest point. The stone is a medium celadon color with tiny areas of a darker inclusion. This is an authentic product of the Qing dynasty, not a later product misleadingly labeled "Qing," and it is guaranteed to be of the period...
An intricately painted 19th Century or earlier Tibetan thangka featuring a wrathful black diety. It is loaded with imagery that depicts several intense scenes from floating skeletons to animals and humans being trampled. This antique thangka was used and has been consecrated or blessed. In good condition, it measures 24 inches high x 21".

Late 19c Chinese Blackwood or possibly Zitan wood brush pot in the classic style with smooth sides and a raised ring at mouth and bottom having 3 low standing low profile feet with drain hole in center bottom of pot. Carved from a single piece of wood, it still retains its original plug which is easily removed for drainage. In excellent condition commensurate with age, it measures 4-5/8" high x 4-1/8" diameter.
