This is a Ming Dynasty Swatow type blue and white plate with a nicely written fu calligraphy on it, it was written with an elegant, strong, smooth and stylish character. It carries the meaning of Prosperous- which is an important chinese character in their culture...This plate is in a very good condition without any chip, crack, or repair and its' glaze still intact. This is a very attractive and richly decorated Japanese cloisonne vase. At fist glance one would think it was made by Namikawa Yasuyuki because of the mottled colors and glow to the enamel. There are both silver and gold wires used in the designs. It is not signed but it is so similar to a Namikawa piece that we believe it was made by Shibata, his student. It stands 6 inches tall and is quite heavy because of the thick enamel. The vase may have had a lid at one time but I can't say for certain...

This image is Station 48: "Seki" published by Sumiyoshiya Masagoro in 1852/3. Very good color and impression quality, with fine delineation of the hair not apparent in the images...

An amazing japanese table composed of two beautifully decorated shelves. The upper shelf depicts a waterfall, high waves and pine trees in gold and brown takamaki-e, hirakami-e lacquer and kirigane on a base of nashi-ji. It lies on two openwork side panels.
The lower shelf is more sparsely decorated but still finely executed. It depicts a cottage surrounded by hills and trees in gold and brown takamaki-e and hiramaki-e lacquer, kirigane and nashi-ji...

Unusual 19th century wooden netsuke carved as a head of a dragon with a Precious Gem in its mouth. Boldly carved, strong features of the creature’s face, nice wear and patina. Length 3 inches.

Here is a great little decorated Khmer or Champa pottery pipe. This particular piece is heavily decorated with some minor damage in the form of chips to the rims and body. It measures almost 6cm in length. I currently have three of these that were all recovered by divers from the red river delta, which accounts for their pristine condition.

This is a horse cover in Edo period. The carp climbs the waterfall. This design is hemp and tsutsuigaki. In surrounding light blue cotton, the design of katazomed and the wing is tsutsugaki. The part of the string is cotton and katazome. It spun by the hand, it drew by the hand, and it dyed it. It is a source dispelling technology. There is a thin stain. There is no damage. However, the state is very good. It is a valuable excellent article...
