Interesting pair of Thai Buddhist amulets with an old Buddha representation inside of Buddha seated, both encased in a thick good silver.
This is a part of a collection of extrafine Thai amulets thant we purchased recently. Many are very old and finely encased in silver and gold!

A crow at rest upon a rock raises its head in a gruff cry by Suwa Sozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Karasu Okimono. It is pierced in the back, allowing it to be an oki-koro incense burner. It is 34 cm (13-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition. A rare, very decorative, Celadon glazed Alms Bowl, 18th - 19th century with its original wooden stand. Very nice Celadon glaze. The rim of the bowl covered with a dark brown wash, the unglazed footring covered with a pale brown wash.

A very beautiful schist head of a Bodhisattva, 2-4 Century AD, with soft, youthful features, wearing a diadem with rosettes. The hair is pulled up into an elaborate top knot, urna between the eyebrows. Acquired on the London (UK) Art Market prior to 1980. Mounted on a Museum Quality metal stand. Size of head alone: 12.5 cm. (5"), excluding stand. Very fine condition.

An exceptionally rare turquoise-glazed porcelain vase or flask made in the Jingdezhen kilns, Jiangxi province,China, during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). The neck is decorated with upright plantain leaves, each shoulder with styalized lotus scroll design and applied buddhistic lion head. The central panels front and back feature the Hehe Erxian - the twin Immortals of Union and Harmony - one holding a basket from which has been released a bat, in flight amongst clouds...
A set of four vary rare blackwood Hungmu lady's side chairs. The chairs match as a pair except for the back panels. Two have a square and two have a circle. This most likely had some meaning for the owner.

A Yuan dynasty blue and white jarlet, decorated with chrysanthemum scroll and two ring handle to the neck. Condition is very good, excepted minor fritting to the rim side, no any crack, no any chip and free from any restoration.
A fine and expressive carved stag horn netsuke of Shoki, The Demon Queller. Early 19th century.
Shoki is the Japanese styling of the Chinese spirit Chung Kui who protects households from malevolent demons. In this example the gifted carver shows Shoki studying closely, an off stage, mischievous oni whilst carefully hiding his Chinese sword close to his body.
