Old wooden stand acquired from a US expat estate in 1987, this was made between 1950 and 1980. The legs are inserted. Minor natural “check” in the top, and this piece is sort of shaped like Australia (no extra charge). 14cm/5.5in x 10cm/4cm and 4cm/1.6in.

Large textile from Laos with a “void” silhouette deer pattern . The colored threads are silk, while the field and border are all handspun cotton, the border may be some sort of bast fiber as it is quite coarse. This piece is approximately 30 to 40 year old- I picked up it up in 2000, Vientiane, Laos.
The border and backing has some staining but the embroidered panel is clean...

Hetian nephrite jade pendant with illegible archaic script incised on the surface. Cut from the edge of a jade boulder, this piece has a natural shape and “organic” feel. The russet highlights are attractive but artificially induced. H: 5.4cm/2.2in and W: 3.3cm/1.3in- 33 grams.
Late 19th to early 20th century Chinese porcelain figure of a mythical beast crouching on a rock above cresting waves with its head lowered. Wonderful potting, excellent face, beautiful use of turquoise and aubergine colored glazes. Great patina, compressed dust on the surface, few spots of losses to the glaze, the body stamped with 2 characters on the bottom. Height 2.5 inches.

Though I have been unable to find much in the way of references, I am fairly certain that this spear and others like it are ceremonial polearms from the Qing Dynasty. They are most likely 18th or 19th century. They have crudely decorated brass collars between the socket and blade. This one and the three others I have listed are in good condition with no signs of repair...

Chinese Green glazed Pottery Chopstick wall Holder, can be used as a wall vase, 1930, 7 1/4" high, 5 1/4" wide, 2 1/2" deep, Kiln crazing on the top corder back side but not open, some missed green glazed area.

Chinese Export Porcelain Cafe Au Lait and Famille Rose overglaze decorated Tea Bowl, Ca. 1790, 2 7/8" diameter, 1 5/8" high, with Famille Rose Peony flowers inside 2 Maple Leaf shape Cartouches and Peaches, between Cafe Au Lait glaze on the outer side of the bowl. There are kiln imperfection spots, no damages.

19th century Chinese export napkin ring carved on the outside with three reserves containing different fish among waves, each fish has eyes inlaid with black horn. Wonderful work with deep undercutting, beautiful patina, in excellent condition. Inside diameter 1 7/16 inches, height 1 1/8 inches.
19th century repousse Chinese silver sew-on clothing ornament in a shape of a Chinese sage riding a deer. During Qing Dynasty silver figures of traditional mythical characters were sewn onto clothing and hats for decoration. Nicely made from low grade silver, small holes around perimeter for sewing onto clothes, will look much better once tarnish is cleaned. Height 1.78 inches.
