Deeply carved Cantonese style hardwood calligraphy brush depicting figures, foliage, and other designs with a pin pierced background. Ferrule and end cap is one piece and brush is natural animal hair. Circa 1900. Excellent condition. Total length is 13 inches long, wood handle 9".

Set of fittings in cast and hammered bronze, suitable for 2 Chinese cabinets with one door or for a large cabinet with double doors. All the elements are decorated with chisel-engraved dragons. A padlock is part of the lot. Hand-threaded rods and nuts allow the installation of fittings on the furniture. This is the rarest cricket cage of its kind to be found, as it is made of tortoise shell, the cap is possible horn and is capped with mother-of-pearl shell on which is a carved four toed dragon that covers a solid gold wire mesh to prevent the naughty cricket from escaping. This cricket cage is in very good antique condition and measures 4" (10.2 cm).

19th century bronze ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in ball shape with relief decoration of several peony flowers. Wonderful work, traces of gilding, nice feel of age, pleasant patina. Height 9/16 inches.

A very unique Black cloisonne dish for jewelry, it features a glass insert over a beautiful translucent hard stone. It is marked China on underside in black. This late 19th century masterpiece is sure to please, as it it is uncommon to find these ring dishes with the original glass insert. It measures 4" in diameter.
