A 19th century late Qing charger, glazed in light pea-green celadon, and molded / carved with various floral motifs in relief.

Condition report: Basically perfect condition. There is a Chinese character for “two” etched to the front surface, and there are some age scratches to glaze.

Up for sale from our private Buddha collection is this bronze gilt Guanyin with a well carved six-character Xuande Mark.

She is seated in rajalilasana with an expression of peace and serenity. The Guan Yin is wearing a tiara and loose robes falling over the shoulders with lots of images.

Please notice the rare throne with its face on the arm rest and the claws on the base of the throne. Very seldom and rare.

A rare Siam 18th. century Ayutthaya gilt bronze Buddha sits with legs crossed, right hand in the bhumispara mudra, the "calling the earth to witness" gesture, left hand in the mudra of meditation.

This posture symbolizes the union of method and wisdom, samasara and nirvana, and the realization of the conventional and ultimate truths. It was in this posture that Shakyamuni overcame obstructions while meditating on Truth, transforming delusions into mirror-like wisdom...

Five dynasties yueyao small dish. 13cm diameter, 3,5cm high. Dish has some fritting at back side mostly.

A rare Arita zhadou form sake cup warmer. These unusually shaped vessels following the form of zhadou, Chinese lays jar, were used for the warming of sake cups, and as flower vases. The form of these cup warmers seem to follow Chinese Song precedents, an example of the Japanese preference for more classical Chinese forms, rather than later Ming and Qing examples, which characteristically have much wider openings...

Another stunning item from our private Buddha collection.

Large Chinese Guanyin made of Jade, with changing jade colours from light green to green, yellow, grey and black, the figure is seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus flower, one hand holding a bottle of elixir and the other hand raised in apan mudra.

The artist has put together three pieces of jade, the buddha, the crown and the lotus seat to a spectacular Guanyin statue with very detailed carvings...

This is Tsutsugaki Yogi of the indigo dyeing tea service set of the Edo era. The cotton is spun by hand and is very thick. A color of the cloth is deep green. The green dyeing needs a technique higher than the dyeing only for indigo plants. Therefore it is a color required to the item of the upper class. And this was drawn in a good balance in very powerful Tsutsubiki...

A well potted , delicately and brightly enameled " famille - verte " vase. 18th/19th century. H :25,3 cm. Condition : Perfect. Provenance : Old german collection.

Head of Buddha, eyes half closed, its face reflecting a profound inner serenity. Wood, with remnants of the original lacquering and gilding. China, 18th century. Height: 10 1/2" (26,7 cm). The head is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Age cracks, otherwise good condition.

Condition report: basically perfect condition, which some origin impurities to the enamels, and just one tiny shallow chip to the foot rim.
