Antique Japanese suzuri bako, or calligraphy box, made from keyaki (zelkova) hardwood with hand-forged iron hardware. The top of the box is hinged with a large, shallow compartment. The front has two small drawers with iron rings pulls. This box would have once been used for storing ink stones and other calligraphy articles.

This is finely carved Japanese netsuke depicting a Herb Boy standing right next to his OX. Both figures rest upon a platform where the himotoshi is found. Very nice form and mellow patina. Signed Meizan. Netsuke measures 11.28 inches (3.3cm), and 1.08 inches (2.8cm) tall.

Mid Edo period Hagi Chawan in the stylish shape of modest slight distortion. It is roughly coated in slightly glossy white slip and bears beside a wari-kodai (splitted foot) a fantastic 'landscape' on the inside.

This is a wonderful pair of early cloisonne vases. The rich enamels and designs used appear to be that of early Namikawa Sosuke. Each vase features a different roosters and a hens. The vases stand 13 inches tall. Condition overall is excellent. Upon close inspection a 1 inch line can bee seen along with two over sized pits.The owner would consider splitting up this pair.
Antique Japanese 4 piece wood carving of Fudō Myō-ō, the center deity of the Myō-ō in Buddhist mythology. The Myō-ō are wrathful incarnations of the Five Buddhas of Wisdom.
