Cute porcelain snuff bottle delicately carved in the shape of a smiling man sitting atop a pile of leaves, wearing a blue robe with gold flecks and creases and magenta bottoms, holding a peach, with a gourd bottle strapped around his back. 19th century Japanese kiseruzutsu - tobacco pipe holder - carved out of a section of stag antler. Very clever use of natural skin texture and color to represent an old rotting pine log with its peeling bark. Two holes in the upper back part for hanging. Elegant piece in Japanese taste, excellent patina, in perfect condition. Length 8 1/2 inches.

Antique Japanese bronze usubata, Meiji period. The usubata are used for floral arrangements, like a vase. This usubata is striking with a dragon supporting the vessel with one of its arms as its back arches. It measures 9" tall 12" wide at base.
A good Song Yuan longquan celadon large bowl, rounded side with deep center and glazed base, bowl decorated with 35 carved raising lotus petal motif at the exterior, covered with good deep green glaze.
Bowl is in good condition with small damage at the rim covered / restored, porcelain with high ping sound with finger tip.

Pair of early 19th century Japanese sword menuki depicting two dancers - a samurai with sword, and a merchant with fan. There is a nice detail for a netsuke lover - merchant is wearing an inro suspended by a gourd netsuke. Elegant design, superb detailing with gilding, in excellent condition. Fantastic example of Japanese metalwork. Height 1 1/8 inches.

This is a finely carved Mid 19th Century Japanese Netsuke depicting two seated Karakos who are back to back to each other; one playing the Flute, and the other wearing a Shishimai mask. Wonderful rich patina. Unsigned.
Netsuke measures 1.23 inches (3.1cm) and 1.25 inches (3.2cm).
Netsuke is in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.

This old Chinese silk hat would have been owned and worn by a gentleman of some financial means. The gold fretted trim was expensive and used on both mens and woman's clothing of the during late Qing dynasty. There is some blue trim fabric lost as shown in the pictures. The hat is lined with red cotton fabric and has writing in 2 of the 6 sections.
Japanese temple carving depicting a dragon (Ryu) and a tiger (Tora), with background of bamboo forest and blossoming plum branches. The dragon is a sacred creature representing great power, strength, and good luck for people that are worthy. The imagery of the dragon fighting the tiger is symbolic of the opposing forces of yin and yang.
