Kuro Hirosawa (1772-1840) Shino ware Chawan for tea ceremony with appraisal box.
The name "Kuro" is carved near the foot ring.
Kuro Hirosawa was a samurai of Nagoya clan and a potter in the late Edo period.
He enjoyed the tea ceremony and made tea utensils of Ko-Seto, Shino, Karatsu style in his free time.
His works have a unique appearance and often called Kuro ware.

A set of three nesting Japanese Imari porcelain bowls. Richly decorated and gilded, all 3 bowls are identical and are signed on the bottom. Dates circa 1875.
All three are in excellent condition and they measure:
Large bowl: 9.75 inches x 4.25" high
Medium bowl: 8.5" x 3.75"
Small bowl: 7.25" x 3.25"
17th Century Tibetan Amitabha Thangka, 46.5 x 25.5 inches, 118 x 65 cm. Most of these thangka were photographed through glass frames, so there may be a little blurriness. This thankga was in an exhibition at the University of Texas Art Museum.

Chinese porcelain vase marked kangxi on the foot, but thought to be a late 19th century reproduction. There are domestic scenes painted in the over glaze enamels and repairs to the lip of the rim. At one time, the vase was used a lamp. Hence, the characters kangxi in the reign seal are restored and probably spurious. H: 24 inches, Diam: 8 inches

A stupendous INDO-PERSIAN MUGHAL KHANJAR DAGGER with a particularly beautiful damascended PAMOR Design Blade, terminating in a fine triangle of overlaid Gold Foliage decoration. The wonderfully shaped Silver Grip is exquistely crafted as a massive 3-dimensional Lion's head. The dominant dense Pamor pattern resembles the irregular annual rings of a large and older tree trunk. 19th century Chinese rock crystal seal made out of a natural polished crystal in a shape of a tall and narrow mountain peak characteristic of Southern China.
