This very fine Nat known as "Ahmay (Mother) Shwe Na Bay" is a rare masterpiece of Burmese temple art. She protects fishermen and people working at Sea and on rivers. Japanese hand split bamboo basket with high slender sides rising from a square base to a round lip. Bamboo intertwined into a handle fashioned with small split bamboo. Cheveron pattern is seen repeating on all sides with a squad symmetrical pattern seen on the base.

Early 19th century ebony netsuke of a shishi (Buddhist lion) sitting foursquare on a base, its head turned to the right. Like any dark object does not photograph well. Wonderful netsuke carved with confidence and great detail - see its alert face, bushy tail, well defined ribs and paws. Wonderful sense of volume, beautiful lustre unique to ebony. Height 1 5/16 inches.

Japanese Edo period woodblock print from a small series featuring bust portraits of actors portraying two opposite charactors in old and current plays set against calligraphy by Toyokuni III (also known as Kunisada) collaborating with Torii Kiyomitsu II (1788-1868) dated 1852. The lower right corner bears the signature cartouches of both artists, censor and date seals, and the seal of the publisher Joshuya Juzo. The paper measures 14 3/4"V x 9 7/8"H...

Suna-Gohon (sand is added to the clay) tea ware was fired at the Japanese consular office in Busan in the early Edo period (1603-1868) and sent to the Tokugawa family and other daimyo. The kiln was closed in 1718.

The rare Gold Buddha is know as Bhumisparsa, the mudra of witness (earth touching). The hand with the palm turned inward and all the fingers extended downward touching the singhasana (pedestal supported by a lion) The gesture of touching the earth or calling the earth to witness commemorating Buddha's victory over temptation by the demon Mara. Age: 14/15th Century. Southeast Asia. Size: L.4.6cm. Condition: No repairs.

Chinese 18th century bronze censer with six character Xuande mark at the base. 18cm wide, 12,5cm mouth rim diameter. 7cm high. 1387 gram weight. Censer has single soft dent at the body (please see on the picture), no crack, no repair.

19th century Chinese jadeite snuff saucer in a shape of a footed dish with gently concave surface. Does not photograph well. Wonderful off-white stone, beautiful patina, in great condition, wonderful feel of age. Diameter 1 5/16 inches.

Chinese porcelain figure of Lan Caihe, one of the Eight Immortals in Chinese culture or Taoism. Lan is usually depicted carrying a bamboo flower basket as seen here. Lan's gender is always shown in an androgynous manner. The figure's earholes, nostrils, and mouth are pierced through. The bright enamel robes are accented in gilt pigment. This is Yogi which a rich merchant used in a district for Edo period. As for this, good-quality Tumugi-Silk is used. This is dyed by Yuzen- dyeing. As for this, brown is used for a basic color. The brown items were popular in the big city for Edo period. As for this, the shading off which is one of the technique of the Yuzen dyeing is very impressive.
