The Geldermalsen was a cargo ship belonging to the Dutch East India Company that struck a reef on its way back from Canton China, and sank off the coast of Indonesia in the Linnga archipelago...

From our Shipwreck Porcelain Collection, a good teacup and saucer ex-Sotheby's, from the Ca Mau Cargo, Yongzheng Period (1723-1735), executed in the "Tu Hai" pattern in underglaze blue.

This particular teacup and saucer is a very good example that somehow managed to survive over two centuries under the sea, essentially unscathed...

Stunning Japanese golden Tenmoku Chawan of Kyo Yaki. The brown pottery is covered with a gorgeous gold glaze and shows a wonderful crazing. It dates back to the later Meiji Period (1868-1912) and is in greatest antique condition with no chips or cracks.

A nice saucer dish with overglaze enamel green and red of lotus. original color is rare, no any repainting. Ming dynasty 16th century, Hongzhi period. Condition is good, no any crack, free from any restoration excepted chip to the unglazed foot rim. Diameter: 16 cm.

A pair of Namasu or small serving bowls in revived Kakiemon style decorated with a depiction of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove in low moulded relief; here represented by just two of them. The Sages were synominous with a hedonistic lifestyle of drinking and poetry. The foliate rims of the dishes are painted with a fuchi beni, iron brown glaze...

Amazing boro cloth which is one side of body part of noragi (farm wear). The ground cloth as well as mending patches are hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dyed. Sashiko thread is also indigo dyed cotton. Asa (hemp) thread is seen in the side seam and that means it is rather old. The second half of the 19th century. 32cm x 184cm

A blue & white jar, decorated with lotus and water weeds surrounded the body above lotus petal panels foot border. Unglazed flat base. Ming dynasty late 15th century. Condition with minor short hairlines to rim, no any chip and further in overall good condition. High: 10cm and Wide body: 9.8cm.

A nice drawn of blue and white dish, decorated to the interior with a bird on the tree and continuously flower scrolls to the exterior, all under blackish cobalt material appearing without any uneven. Ming dynasty 15th-16th century. Condition with four tiny chips and one slight long hairline. Please add $ 50,00 for restoration to chips and would be invisible, not recommended to cover the hairline. Diameter: 19,4 cm.

A Chinese Longquan glazed dish decorated with overlapping upright petals on the exterior wall. Southern Song Dynasty - 12th/13th century. The glaze is of grayish olive-green color, one side is darker than the other side on the exterior wall. The dish is in excellent antique condition with normal glaze scratches.
