A pair of silk applique roundels for a robe, lavishly embroidered in satin stitch, tiny Peking knot and couched gold wrapped thread. One showing two boys at play, the other one depicting the immortal He Xiangu with attendant in a boat amidst flowers and auspicious symbols. Antique Japanese gusoku bitsu (carrying box for samurai armor). Constructed of Kiri (paulownia) wood with original red lacquer finish and black lacquer frame, its edges reinforced with hand-forged iron plates and locks. The back has shoulder straps, made of leather and braided reeds, on iron rings for carrying. A kanji inscription between the leather straps gives the previous owner's name.

A very large and superb quality bronze figure of Shou Lao, the God Of Longetivity, also called the undying, China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD).

The bronze figure with the well-known features of Shou Lao, in a wonderful Ming Dynasty style. The Stick and hand was cast seperately to the figure, and afterwards mounted as was costum during Ming Dynasty with the more difficult casting processes. A filled casting flaw on the back is also from the time of the making and typical for the period...

A Fine Large Japanese Imari Bowl, Meiji, 19th Century.

A fine and substantial Arita Imari rinka bowl. Six panels, inside and out, are alternatively decorated with ho-o birds and flowers.

The centre of the bowl depicts the shochikubai, the three friends of winter. A suggestion of breaking waves can also be observed to the left of the screens.

Rare Japanese gyosho kannon bako. Constructed of Kiri wood with original red lacquer finish. The piece is fitted with hand-forged iron plates and mounts. The front of the chest holds 3 small drawers in its lower section, with a pair of large doors above. The interior of the chest has a large open compartment with a long drawer long the top. The sides are fitted with iron rings and handles with a long cord so the piece may be carried on a merchant's back.

Japanese hirado ware porcelain figure of a puppy . The entire body is hand carved with realistic fur pattern, the body in white underglaze with the eyes left bare. The puppy's paws and toes are fully carved to the bottom of the piece, which is left bare from the white glaze. The bottom is pierced with an air hole from when it was originally fired in the kiln.

Nine prong bronze bell and matching nine prong bronze vajra (diamond / thunderbolt) with carrying case of patchwork cloth. Used together for spiritual ceremonies. This is one of the earliest and rarest original types of vases made in Vietnam. It has a rich chocolate brown glaze with beautiful drippings going down to the base. This style of jar has been copied in later times in China and Southeast Asia. Size: H. 64.8cm W. 40cm. Condition: Perfect. No repairs.

A molded edge porcelain dessert serving dish, Spode circa 1814 with bat transferred fruit in the center. Pattern number 1686 hand painted on the bottom. Unmarked, but the distinctive border of twined dolphins alternating with a large plant (?) is a Spode design. The pattern of fruits is currently made by Spode and called “Chatham.” The border is set off with a band of gilding at the rim and the inside edge. The bat transfer is an unusual color, almost brown at some angles and gold at others...

A fine porcelain cup and deep saucer decorated with hand painted birds sitting on braches near the ground. The cup and saucer are also decorated with randomly placed puce sprigs. Unmarked, but numerous examples of similar birds with puce sprigs are on marked Ansbach pieces. Saucer 5 ¼ inches (13.4 cm) diameter. Cup 4 inches (10 cm) diameter including the handle, 3 ¼ inches (8 cm) without it. Cup 2 inches (5 cm) tall.

Four-armed sword wielding Virabhadra is a manifestation of Shiva. In this form, he decapitated the demigod Daksha who had insulted him, but in doing so, he interrupted the demigod's sacrifice by which all beings are created. Virabhadra later revived Daksha by replacing his head with that of a goat, thus ensuring the demigod survived and the continuance of creation. Mounted on Custom Iron Mount for presentation.

A slight smile menpo in black lacquer, with angular high cheeks, making its naturalistic ears protrude outward. The L shaped strap holders are mounted on the dimples, the sleek shaped chin with turned strap post and a small hole to vent out perspiration. The interior of the mask is lacquered in red leather. The yodare is in the kiritsuke style plates of four and is laced in blue silk, calico, and pale ocher. The menpo is mounted on steel stand for display.

This type of menpo would have fitted a formal and archaic style gosuku with silk lacing and large sode style of the Heian period. The menpo is lacquered in a dark brownish black with stylized wrinkles. The ears are pierced with plum blossom configuration, turned strap holders, and a vent hole. The nose plate is well rendered with horse hair mustache and hook-holes insertion. The interior of the mask is lacquered in red. The yodare is fabricated with stenciled leather and 3 plate kiritsuke laced ...

Richly enameled with vibrant colors on a dark blue ground, this Chinese footed porcelain bowl has a turquoise interior. A seal mark is on the base bottom along with the word "CHINA". In excellent condition, no chips, no repairs, it measures 5" square x 2.75" high.

The mask is of dark brownish lacquer finish and the interior is black lacquer. The high jaw has two protruding hooks for strapping the cords, and underneath the chin is a vent hole. The Saru Bo is fitted with yodare kare covered in lacquered black leather with three lames plates and blue silk lacing.
