Blue and White bowl decorated to exterior with Three Friends of Winter, these are bamboo, plum and pine among the rock pattern. Ming Dynasty 15th-16th century. Condition is very good excepted tiny flake chip to rim, no any crack. Diameter: 12,7cm and Height: 5,5cm.
An antique Japanese tansu chest known as a Kotansu (for personal storage) made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. Original bronze hardware. Six drawers of various sizes for organization and storage. Two sliding doors with a shelf behind. Constructed using hardened wood nails. It would make a practical side table or a nightstand.

Painted in underglaze iron with a stylized design, possibly of a duck. Covered entirely with a grayish-green celadon glaze, barely wiped from the footring. Minor sand adhesion to the foot. No chips or cracks.

A rare Yuan dynsaty under glaze copper red yuhuchun vase, pear shape with flower design copper red and covered with good bluish qingbai glaze, vase has been broken and restruck please see picture for detail, size: 25 cm height.
Mid Edo period Hagi Chawan in the stylish shape of modest slight distortion. It is roughly coated in slightly glossy white slip and bears beside a wari-kodai (splitted foot) a fantastic 'landscape' on the inside.
But the highlight is the old gold restoration, a fantastic gintsugi (kintsugi) which makes our Hagi tea bowl so valuable and outstanding.
The chawan comes together with a good wood box and a blue shifuku for a perfect protection...
A superb Japanese antique satsuma vase with eggshell white crackle underglaze, incredibly detailed artwork of a pheasant perched upon a gnarling branch with berries, wonderful intricate gilt banner design along the top, narrow neck with gilt rim, gilt ring along the foot, signature on bottom - Ryozan of the Yasuda Company.

English sterling silver berry spoon dating from the reign of George III. The lobed bowl is decorated with repousse apples, berries and foliage; the handle with bright cut engraving, both added later in the 19th century. (We are also offering another berry spoon by a different silversmith and with a slightly different shape, but with identical decoration. Certainly the two spoons were decorated by the same engraver and repousser.) No monograms or removals...

Measurements : Top collar to bottom hem 36", Sleeve to sleeve 65" when fully stretched, sleeve width 20", width between arm pits 25" narrowest, width of hem 36" widest.
From our Japanese Collection, a superb and large satsuma lidded jar / tea caddy by Ryozan, Meiji Period 1868-1912, stunningly executed with exceptional fineness depicting two cartouches of people gathering, alternating with two cartouches of ducks and birds in nature scenes, all separated and framed by intricate brocaded reserves of floral motifs using wonderful color variation and extensive gilt.
Size and Condition: A relatively large caddy at 7 1/4 inches tall, 6 1/8 inches wide.

19th century Asakusa school staghorn netsuke in manju shape with openwork carving of a winged water dragon in flight among clouds. Superb design and excellent quality sharp carving, beautiful warm patina, darker porous areas as is usual with staghorn. Loss to the part of the inner ring (not visible when manju is put together, photo #5, lower right image) not affecting integrity of the piece. Diameter 1.6 inches.
This unusual large blue and white incense pot is a Kang Xi period (1662~1722) product. It is 5 1/2" high and 9 3/8" in diameter. On the exterior, there are six sitting Buddhist monks who have achieved enlightenment. Their worthy position is indicated by the halos around their heads. They are surrounded by a swirl cloud pattern. Also, there are clouds around the neck of the pot. Due to firing, there is one crack line on the bottom of the pot and some small dark spots inside and outside...
Superbly cast bird perch, of curved shape, with two dragon heads and two bird heads in the round. Bronze, with fine greenish patina. Himalayan Region, 18th century. Dimensions: length: 3 3/4" (9,5 cm), height: 2 7/8" (7,3 cm). Excellent condition. A rare and fine piece. Collected In Nepal in 1974 by its former owner.
