This is a pair of antique Chinese official hat chairs. Made of Chinese Elm wood, it was decorated with hand carved Linghi mushroom accents. The finish has traces of transparent Burgandy lacquer.

This is a 19th century finely hand-carved Hidemasa-styled Netsuke depicting a seated Hotei, carrying a large bag of fortune over his shoulders while holding a fan with his right hand. Two Karakos are with the God of Happiness, one is seated over the edge of his robes, while the other is on top of the bag right next to the deity's head. The garments of Hotei and Karakos are decorated with spiraling scrolls in the style of Hidemasa...

This superb Japanese ivory okimono is 6 ¾ inches long 2 ¾ inches high and 2 ¼ inches on the widest part. It depicts 6 immortals accompanied by a dragon over the ocean...

Diameter approximately 9 cm (body), width approximately 16 cm (tip spout to handle) and height approximately 8.5 cm.The Teapot has tiny chips at the rim (photo number.7) and 3(three) tiny chips inside the cover (photo number 8,9 and 10). Good condition. There are many characters mark on the base.

An Edo period coat (haubergeon) and “kote” (mitons) of linked chain over layers of indigo dyed blue cloth decorated with family crests in gold. The chain, Kikko collar, outer layers of cloth and leather piping are all in overall excellent condition, the original pale blue lining is much worn away. This is made for an adult.

A nicely carved 19th c white jade belt buckle, of reticulated qilong dragon form. The tone of the jade is of a translucent grayish white.

Belt hook nicely carved in the shape of a dragon. Light green jade. China, 19th century or earlier. Length: 9,2 cm. Remnants of soil encrustations suggesting a rather long stay underground, otherwise very good condition.

A small antique Japanese iron tsuba decorated with motifs of cherry blossoms blown in the wind. The tsuba is decorated in a way where on one side is a branch of the cherry blossoms and the other side is the flowers scattered on the ground. The flowers are done in a shakudo style technique. It is very fine white nephrite pendant carved with a horse or mythical animal (?), there is no any mottled color in this white jade, an well carved with incised details the head, mouth and tail. This late 19th century Chinese jade (nephrite) carving of a reclining camel and foreign grooms is 2 ¾” high, 4 ¼” long and 2” thick. It depicts a reclining camel turning its head to the three grooms; one is climbing on the camel’s hump while the other two are leaning on its side. It is in great condition.

Japanese Buddhist devotional plaque made of bronze with design of lotus blossoms and braided cord tied in a bow. This keman would have hung in a temple as an offering for the Buddha. Age: Meiji Period (19th century). Size: 14.50" high x 10.25" wide.

Beautiful Japanese 19th century gilt copper Keman with lotuses. This keman once hung from beams above the altar of a Japanese Buddhist temple. Traditionally, keman are decorated with floral designs originally derived from the use of flower garlands in temples in India. This keman has rare and very old blue glass beads and is remarkably intact. Translation writes that an honored donor named Demura Kojiro presented to temple in city of Wakayama in January Meiji 23 (c1890)...

A Very Fine and Rare Large Carved Old Plum Inkstone: Korea, 19th Century An oval shaped light black color and heavy weight inkstone carved in remarkable craftsmanship with 2 old and large plum trees with blossoms and 4 birds, and highlited by two olive green “eye” inclusions, it has inscriptions on the bottom. It’s in very fine condition without any noticeablue damages. Measurements: 10 ¼” x 8 ¼” x 1 ½” (26cm x 21cm x 4cm)

The well-potted gourd-form vases are decorated with overglaze green, yellow, aubergine and red enamels, characteristic of 18th Century, but the paste appears to be consistent with the 19th Century. There are no chips or restorations, however, one of the vases has an old hairline extending from the mouth and is approximately three inches long. The other vase is undamaged. There are tiny areas of kiln grit on each vase and a bit of grit adhering to the footrings of each...

The quality of this quite large covered box is so superb that this piece could be an Imperial piece...

The arquebuse is technically perfectly detailed, its mechanism works. The barrel of the cannon is made of iron inlaid with bronze silver and gold. The carriage is made of very dense black wood, probably ebony inlaid with mother-of-pearl. A small metal key allows it to be dismantled, leaving the incised signature of the artist to appear under the barrel Kuni-Tomo familly perhaps Sada-Hisa who liked to depict birds and flowers on his tsubas? Edo period 19th century or earlier...

An antique Japanese large Taiko Drum with a Keyaki (Zelkova) wood body and strong leather ends. Beautiful rich deep sound when struck. All original hand forged iron hardware including the very large Taiko nails and the four carrying rings.

Antique Japanese tanegashima short rifle (gun) with working original matchlock mechanism. Not original barrel, this one has been replaced with a shorter forged barrel onto the rifle wood stock.
Made of hardwood with lacquer finish. Silver inlay on the iron barrel includes an rare arrow motif. Elaborate brass work includes little florets and frolicking fu-dogs. Comes with custom iron stand to aid in display. (This tanagashima is the front gun in the group picture.)

Hard stone cup, probably Jadeite. The more or less pale nuanced ocher colored stone is stained with a pretty green and veined with rust. The cut is very thin which required good control. Uneven grinding and a soft sheen suggest that this cut is ancient, difficult to date with certainty. Chinese work from the 19th century or before. Size:85x68x15mm Good condition.

A gun powder container (kayaku-ire) made of twisted paper string and urushi (lacquer) is painted. It is very sturdy and light-weight so that it was made to many living wares such as a bowl, a sake cup, jingasa (hat), tobacco pouch, trunk, etc. from Edo period. In excellent condition with a deer skin pouch. 19th century. W:7cm H:16.5cm
