Ca. 1500s - 1600s

This incense-burner was cast with Mongolian script encircling body and has two handles with lion masks. It is raised on a slightly flaring footring and a slightly convex base showing wear and an old original surface with a mottled brown patina. The Bombay form rises to end in a flattened rim displaying evidence of long, continued use. The grayish-bronze interior shows its use as an incense burner. An old crack is visible to the head of one handle.

A Large, Splendid Bronze Walking Buddha Figure, Thailand 17th Century. With his left leg slightly raised over a square pedestal, his left hand raised in abhaya mudra and his right hand gracefully extended alongside his body. Wearing a diaphanous sanghati over his left shoulder and flaring down toward a gently undulating hemline. His face with graceful serene meditative expression, downcast eyes under arched eyebrows, elegated earlobes...

A rare late Ming Wucai under glaze blue and over glaze enamel large bowl with fish motif, good condition with two hairline at the rim please see picture for detail, size: 15 cm diameter.

Ming Dynasty, 1500s

Very heavy pear-form bronze vase stylized after ceramic vases of the same period, probably intended as a decoration in a scholar’s studio. Cast with a graceful qilong dragon wrapped around the body and neck with its bifurcated tail terminating on the upper neck of the vase and above the dragon’s head. The dragon’s features are well defined, including the single horn on top of its head, a hairy mane and goatee, and also a prominent backbone...

Suna-Gohon (sand is added to the clay) tea ware was fired at the Japanese consular office in Busan in the early Edo period (1603-1868) and sent to the Tokugawa family and other daimyo. The kiln was closed in 1718.

A extremely rare Jingdezhen ware Ming Hongzhi Period ( 1488 - 1505 ) porcelain dish, glazed with a pale bluish - white glaze over a incised Chrysanthemum decoration. Normally the same type of decoration we know from large Ming blue and white dishes - the same decor incised is very rare to find. Diameter : 25 cm. Condition : There is just one very fine and short hairline near the base( shown on the last image ) otherwise the dish is in an excellent condition.

This genuine late Ming - Transitional blue and white dish is extraordinary, because in the design of this dish there come 3 different styles together. The front design is executed in the Transitional style, the back site of this dish is painted in the Ming Jiajing style, and the mark in the center is the Imperial Ming Xuande mark ! Very nice glaze and kobalt blue. 2 small nearly not visiable hairlines. D : 5,5 inc.

A fine and large Arita export octagonal jar, 1680 ~ 1700. The jar has similar painting around the neck and shoulder as those produced at the Kakiemon kilns.

Approximately 40 cm high. In fine undamaged condition. I have shown some very shallow flakes on the inside of the neck, this appears to have occurred before the firing...

A fine Chinese bronze hu applied with ten mask and loose ring handles on a ground of dense geometric pattern. Ming dynasty, 16th/17th century. 33cms. Good condition.

Extremely decorative and rare Fahua Ware hoop pended pot with three coloured Scroll Pattern. 15th century. H : 12,5 inc. Very nice condition, small chip to the rim ( look photo )

Here is a real beauty. Perfect in form, shape and design: Ao-Oribe (Green Oribe) Chawan from the early stage of Edo period. Little distorted half cylinder shaped (kutsugata) tea bowl with slightly flaring mouth made of light, unrefined Mino clay.

The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potters knife and covered with the typical green copper oxide glaze inside and outside...

An Ai Kakiemon dish decorated with a repeating pattern of Hosoge, flowers of Precious appearance, which in this case would appear to be representations of auspicious Pomegranate fruits constructed from Ruyi, Acanthus style leaves and other disparate elements. The ring of Hosoge pierced by a circlet binding them together with a gobenka motif in the centre...

Ming dynasty 17th century Chinese bronze censer with fish shape motif ears, good condition 15 cm diameter mouth, 20 cm diameter with ears, 11.5 cm height and about 3000 gran weight.

A high quality bronze head of Buddha, Thailand, c. 16th. century.

With Suchothai style facial features and a lovely dark brown patina.

Provenance: Collection of Gunna Munkvad, Denmark, aquired from the 1960s-1980s.

Chinese Cast Bronze Incense burner and cover in the form of a lion-dog, seated, holding a tassled ball between his raised front legs. The hinged head forming the cover. Areas of parcel gilding. 17thC. Ht.8.0" (20.4cm). Condition; Good patina, gilding worn.
