A Japanese Arita lobed dish decorated with a dragon descending from clouds, grasping the pearl of wisdom. The back with a fuku mark. The dish dates from 1750~1790. A similar design to Chinese examples of the Yongzheng period.

Approximately 14 cm diameter. Perfect condition. A little kiln dross in the cloud.

An unusually elaborate pottery figure of a female Attendant, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to late Ming periodc. 1550-1600 AD.

The lady is clad in a large thick robe, with an imposing hairdress and she is wearing a basket with red flowers and is standing on a round plint. She is glazed in torquise and dark blue colours.

Nicely painted facial details, careful thick glazing and a fine expression.

1900's Chinese Boxwood Wood Carving Mythical Beast 獬豸

It is 10.7 inches (27 cm) by 15.1 inches (38.4 cm) wide with stand and 8.1 inches (20.6 cm) tall by 12.25 inches (31.1 cm) wide. It is 6.2 Lb.

The beast has hairline cracks at the back, hair and lip, chips at he tail and ear, surface wears and scratches. The stand has hairline cracks, chips and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).
