A Japanese Arita lobed dish decorated with a dragon descending from clouds, grasping the pearl of wisdom. The back with a fuku mark. The dish dates from 1750~1790. A similar design to Chinese examples of the Yongzheng period.

Approximately 14 cm diameter. Perfect condition. A little kiln dross in the cloud.

She has a lotus flower wrapped around her body, which symbolizes good fortune and purification of the spirit...

A well, deeply potted porcelain dish, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with cranes and lotus. Swatow ware, late Ming ( sixteenth century ). Diameter : 28, 3 cm. H : 7 cm. Condition : The body itself in perfect condition with a nice bell like sound when tapped. Some faint cracks to the very nice glaze of the dish.

An unusually elaborate pottery figure of a female Attendant, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to late Ming periodc. 1550-1600 AD.

The lady is clad in a large thick robe, with an imposing hairdress and she is wearing a basket with red flowers and is standing on a round plint. She is glazed in torquise and dark blue colours.

Nicely painted facial details, careful thick glazing and a fine expression.

1900's Chinese Boxwood Wood Carving Mythical Beast 獬豸

It is 10.7 inches (27 cm) by 15.1 inches (38.4 cm) wide with stand and 8.1 inches (20.6 cm) tall by 12.25 inches (31.1 cm) wide. It is 6.2 Lb.

A Very Rare and Finely Silver Inlaid Iron Incense Burner: Korea, late oseon dynasty, early 20th century. Of hexagonal section mounted on raised bracket feet, the six faces of the body curved and the upright, flat mouth with unusual white brass mouth-rimmed around, and also hexagonal, inlaid in silver on the sides with auspicious characters, happiness and longevity, in medallions within key frets, on the legs with flower scroll and key frets, and two white brass handles in the shape of bats...

Japanese set of 10 blue and white sobachoko or soba cups. With cobalt blue underglaze floral motifs and ocean landscapes, double ring below the inner rim, and a floral medallion in the center of the well with single ring. The foot is slightly recessed and left unglazed except for the center.

A two section antique Japanese Isho Biraki Tansu (stacked clothes chest with hinged doors) made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. Original bronze hardware and a center Kuwanoki (Mulberry) wood door decorative overlap. Very well constructed with thick wood, straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nails. The doors open to four removable kimono trays.

Originally used for kimono and clothes storage, the classic design works well in any home decor...
