A large and heavy porcelain vase with thick Sang-de-boeuf ('Ox-blood') glaze. On the base is incised the six character reign mark of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). A Very Fine and Beautiful White Glazed/High Footed Bowl-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century. The medium sized bowl, set on a slightly flared high ring footed and with slightly everted mouth rim, decorated in a beautiful white with a very slight blue-tinge , warm and clear glaze applied overall evenly, with firing sand traces on the foot rim. It’s in very fine condition without any damages at all. Measurements: 8.7cm h. x 15.3cm d.

Antique Japanese isho tansu (chest on chest for clothing), made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. The top section has two large drawers while the bottom section has two large drawers with two small drawers in the lower right hand corner. The drawers, which are made entirely of kiri wood, have two hand holds cut into the interior sides for carrying. Hardware is made of blackened iron with round lock plates, corner and side bracing...

Some insignificant light marks, traces of crease that has been restored on the back, and foxing are present on the painting, otherwise the painting is in very good condition for the age...

A good Hizen-yaki, Arita kilns octagonal blue and white porcelain bowl. Shonsui ‘three friends if winter, decoration in roundels among shape patterns. A single Minogame decorates the interior center. A Fuku mark appear center of the bottom, inside the unglazed ring foot. 19th century. Good condition. 5 inches at widest points. Little more than 3 inches at highest points.

An exquisite antique Japanese large box made of keyaki (elm) wood burl and decorated with a design of a bamboo garden gate, tall grasses, chrysanthemum blossoms and the moon. Very high raised maki-e lacquer in gold and red with shell inlay. Tied with it's original tassel and with tomobako. Provenance: from a family living close to Kyoto's Imperial Palace.
