This early 20th century carved coral netsuke of an Oni (devil) mask is 1 ½” long, 1” wide and ½” thick. It depicts a very nicely carved and impressive Daikijin. One horn has been repaired. Aside from that, it is in great condition.
Ancient Indian Jain religious shrine, the central Jina surrounded by multiple celestial nymphs with two elephants at the top on either side of the canopy. This brass with inlaid silver sculpture has ancient Devanagari script over the entire back. The Jinas eyes and central chest are silver inlaid. Rubbed and some losses.

A blue and white octagonal plate, Qianlong period, of flat shape with sharp cut and brown-glazed rim. Decoration of flowers, rock and a willow tree surrounded by a Kanghsi type border. Diameter "8½ to 9¼/ 21,5 to 22,5 cm. Condition: rim frits and glaze imperfections as shown on photos, otherwise fine.
A rare Song dynasty celadon Ge type tripod censer, unglazed foot, excavated from Sulawesi. Crack line through line of ge patern, no chips and free from restoration. Wide 13 cm Height 8.5 cm
This rare and interesting ceramic work was done by one of the most renowned and loved waka poets of the 19th century, Ōtagaki Rengetsu (1791-1875). In fact, if you look closely at the attached images, you will see her finger imprints clearly preserved in the molded clay.
Born into a Samurai family but soon after adopted by the Ōtagaki family, from the age of seven to sixteen Rengetsu was a lady in waiting at Kameoka castle where she was trained in the arts and courtly graces...
A rear authentic Chinese Tang Tomb Guardian with beautiful sancai glaze. Chinese believed that there were evil creatures underground and had these type of guardians to protect the tombs.

This is the type of early Mei-Ping flask which was used in the 1,300’s to 1,400’s by the Chinese to transport mercury for trade to be use in gold mining operations. They measure 6.5 to 7.5 inches high and were found in the port of Tuban, Indonesia on an unknown shipwreck. This particular piece has an un-repaired crack in the body but is intact.
Late Meiji wooden netsuke representing a theatrical mask of horned demon Namanari. The mask is mostly used in the play The Cursed Metal Head-Ring for the role of the wife who is crazed with jealosy beyond any possibility of redemption. Uncommon image, excellent mad facial expression. Cleverly carved out os soft evergreen wood in ittobori (one-cut) style characteristic of Hida school, colors and gold lacquer highlights, beautiful patina. Signed KYUNADA in ink on the back. Height 1 7/8 inches.
A beautiful original large Buddhist temple sitting lantern called Koshi Tsuridoro. These lanterns are placed in front of the entrance to the temple itself. The verdigris copper and wood construction is decorated with 8 panels of scrolling arabesque designs of lotuses. The front pair panels are hinged and they are secured with a lock and sliding flat pin.

The small jade carving is 2” long, 1 ¼” wide and 1” thick. It is a late 19th century product. It depicts a smiling fisherman. On one hand, he is holding his long beard; in the other he is holding a string of Ling Zhi (lucky mushrooms). A turtle and a fish appear on the fisherman’s back carved from dark brown part of the stone. It is in excellent condition.

A Tibetan bronze ceremonial bell, with a gilt vajra shaped handled, finely cast with the image of a bodhisattva's head, the top of the bell with low-relief Sanskrit characters on lotus petals, small vajra pattern along the fluted edges of the bell, and an inner lotus petal design with signature inside the bell where the clapper hangs.
