Description:
A black-glazed ewer was finely mold with a chicken-head on the spout.
The glaze was in greasy-feel condition when time-enduring crackles were yielded.

A Song/Yuan Celadon Ewer. Height approximately 9 cm and length approximately 10 cm (the tipspout to the handle). The ewer has a small rim chip , a firing crack inside and a slightly different color tone. Good condition.
Realistic and superbly cast statue of a Taoist dignitary, standing in formal attire, holding an archaic vessel with both hands, with a slight smile on his face. Bronze, encrusted patina, traces of gilding in some recesses. China, Qing Dynasty, early 18th century, probably earlier. Height: 7" (17,7 cm). Old dent on the upper part of the back, otherwise very good condition. A rare piece.
A nicely carved natural amber bottle with two crane birds, one on each side with floral designs. The crane represents longevity and also a symbol of age.

This finely carved noble lady is a mid or late 19th century product. It is 12” high, 2 ¾” wide and 2 3/8” thick. There is an honorable “Yong Zheng” mark on the bottom. The lady is holding a bunch of lily blossoms in her left hand and a basket of peony blossoms in her right hand. The statue has great patina. Aside from some loss of coloring and a small old repair to a broken tassel on the front of her robe, it is in excellent condition.
Antique Chinese black dragon and phoenix priest's robe. Roundels embroidered with gold phoenix and dragon with clouds and waves. Silver and gold thread with red and green couching stitches. On the back of the robe there is a peach and jewels and the wheel of life on large back panel. Small overall wear and discoloration. 40" long x 62" sleeve to sleeve. Republic period. Circa 1900-1920s.

Signed Ryuchin (Gyokuhosai), who, according to Meinertzhagen (MCI Index), 'was among the most brilliant netsuke carvers of his period'. Scene of geese on a flowering stream bank. Though unsigned, the design is very well executed in mostly earth-toned enamels. There are some faint stress lines of discoloration in one area under the enamel, otherwise the condition is very good.
