A six-sided porcelain wine pot warmer painted in Qianjiang style with a scene on one side from a Chinese opera relating to stories from the Three Kingdoms period. On the other side is a poem which we have, as yet, been unable to read. It is signed and dated to 1903. Condition - very good - there are glaze imperfections and there are two chips to the base rim (please view enlargement 2); no further damages and no restoration...

Late Qing dynasty Guangxu period export ginger jar with lid decorated on the front in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with the three Star Gods (Fuxing, Luxing, and Shouxing) representing good fortune, prosperity, and long life. Shou holds the peach of immortality, Fu carries a child, and Lu holds a ruyi scepter. They are standing together in a landscape setting in front of a large tree. A stylized bamboo stalk is on the back...

Hard stone cup, probably Jadeite. The more or less pale nuanced ocher colored stone is stained with a pretty green and veined with rust. The cut is very thin which required good control. Uneven grinding and a soft sheen suggest that this cut is ancient, difficult to date with certainty. Chinese work from the 19th century or before. Size:85x68x15mm Good condition.

Late 19th century Japanese porcelain trumpet vase decorated on a rose or bright puce ground with a long-tailed bird perched amongst trees and flowers. The interior rim is decorated with small flower sprays and on the base is a painter's mark. In very good original condition, it measures 12.% inches high, 7.5" mouth diameter, 5.5 base diameter.

More than 100 year old Seto Chawan, slightly distorted and with two Samurai emblems. Perfect antique condition with no cracks or repairs. True wabi-sabi atmosphere.

Japanese late Meiji period bronze vase with silver inlaid bamboo decoration on the front. At the bottom of the back is the incised signature of the engraver Mitsunobu. The base reads "Kyoto Kuroda made." 6 1/8" high. Late 19th to early 20th century. Very good overall condition with a nice patina. The silver has not been polished. There is a vertical area on the back that feels slightly flattened, but is barely noticeable.

Rosewood ("hongmu") of rectangular shape, its sides decorated with openwork carving representing classical geometric designs. China, 19th century. Length: 34 cm. Width: 16 cm. Height: 6.7 cm. Small relief fragment in the shape of a statue of Buddha Sakyamuni, in monk's robes, in meditation posture, sitting on a lotus throne backed by an aureola. Stucco, with traces of polychrome pigments. Pakistan, Gandhara Region, Graeco-Buddhist art, 1st to 3rd century. Height: 5" (12,6 cm). The statue is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Chips in some areas, erosion, otherwise good condition.
