. A Nabeshima style dish hand painted with an underglaze blue “karahana” pattern. The reverse decorated with Shippo-tsunagi, six coins bound with trailing ribbons to the reverse and a comb pattern to the foot. The dish measures 18.5cm in diameter (six suns) and stands 4.5cm high. The foot-rim measures 8.6cm in diameter and is 1.2cm high. The dish is in good condition no cracks, chips or restoration...

An overglaze red and green enamel polychrome bowl, decorated with Rabbits. Mark on the base. Late Ming Dynasty 17th century. Condition is good, with no any chip, no crack and free from restoration, excepted the enamel colour is faded when found from excavated site at South Sulawesi. Diameter: 11,9 cm.

Antique Japanese Choba Tansu (merchant chest of drawers) from the Kyoto region. The chest has an open shelved compartment, with a money slot on the bottom shelf that drops into the drawer below. With black iron Warabite style handles on each drawer, 3 of which also have squared lock plates with Chrysanthemum studs...

DESCRIPTION: An attractive antique Chinese stoneware jar with wide body and outward turning rim, hand crafted with a pleasing celadon glaze over a raised border of circular designs. In original firing condition and dating from the early 20th C. Though the origin is Chinese, this crock would lend a nice touch of "country" in a cottage or farmhouse setting. Rare Japanese kakiemon ware porcelain jar. Of a tapered melon shape, with circular floral enso motifs of bamboo, blossoming cherry branches, hydrangea, kiri leaves. The Imperial dragon and phoenix paired to represent the emperor and empress. With overglaze green, red, and blue on white bisque ground. The domed lid topped with karakusa (octopus vine) and kiri leaf pattern.

DESCRIPTION: A fine Chinese boxwood water-well basket toggle, intricately carved in an acorn shape with a realistic and detailed basket weave pattern with carved wood rim. The arched overhead handle has a free-carved wood ring attached; the interior is hollowed out. Excellent condition, a beautiful toggle, 19th C. DESCRIPTION: A large, non-damper opium pipe, consisting of a long bamboo tube terminating at one end with a bowl of brass and copper overlay acting as the saddle, socket and damper. A tapering brass tip finishes the other end. Around the bowl is a double flower design in copper and brass, and on each side is a decorative brass fish with scales. Attached along the bamboo stem are lengths of braded yarn, one of which terminates in a brass ring for hanging...

Very interesting antique Aka Raku Bajyohai Tea Bowl, made with a rare long foot. Bowls like this are called 馬上杯, Bajyohai: Rider's Cup. Its form makes them convenient for the ancient horse-riders to drink tea from.

Our Tea Bowl was made in the early stage of the last century during the Japanese Meiji Period (1868-1912).

Japanese dragon fish netsuke modelled in the form of a Mokugyo bell; natural material; inlaid horn eyes; signed within an oval panel

Made of camphor wood, gold and red lacquer. The countenance of the Buddha has a full broad complexion and down cast eyes in complete contemplation, flowing robes, hand forming the crown mudra. The back has a consecration covering and three guardian entities; Goat, man, and pig.

The crown chakra (sahaswrara in Sanskrit) is the seventh of the main chakras and it is located outside of the physical body just above the head...

Rimpa paint on Hinoki wood carving of Daruma. With polychrome hooded robe, decorated in tessellating pattern of gilt dragon mon and scrolling clouds on red ground. His face is painted in a fleshy tone, with painted mustache, beard, and exposed chest hairs. The iconic eyes are reverse painted glass. He stands on a blue ground painted cloud platform.
