These small cups were used for the sake of examination of water at the tea ceremony called "Tocha/Japanese, Gedou cha/Chinese".

called 兎毫盞 ”Hare'fur"in China.

A Tibetan bronze flaying knife or chopper with a curved steel blade used in rituals by Buddhist Vajrayana priests. The flayer was a symbolic instrument and never used to really chop or flay people. Hence, the blade is dull. The blade has oxidized on both sides and there is some verdigris inside the top of the handle. Measures 6.75 inches x 7" high. Dates 1800's.

This rare Japanese 19th century painted ivory snuff bottle is 3 ¾ inches tall, 2 inches wide and 3 quarters of an inch thick. The base inscribed with a four character Qian Long mark. This is a KYOTO SATSUMA EARTHENWARE VASE circa 1875 to 1900. Painted with Rust & GOLD there are two Primary Painted Scenes. Those being the SAMURAI Panel and another Panel with CHILDREN Playing. This is a Qing Dinasty, 18th/19th century, Bulbous, Circular form snuff bottle, with sloping shoulders, rounded elongated neck, and raised oval footing. It has a deep, rich spinach-green color with dark mottling. It is polished all around, and it feels pleasantly rounded. It comes with an agate stopper with spoon. This rather heavy bottle is in excellent preserved condition.

Large pair of Chinese wooden gate doors with hand-forged iron plates and hardware. The pair of doors are opened by iron fu dog heads with large ring pulls in their mouths. The top and bottom iron plates on the front of each door have foliate edges in lingzhi mushroom motifs, with iron studs and horizontal iron bands. The doors have wooden pegs to be inserted into a door frame.
