A Very Fine, clear and warm White Porcelain Bottle:
Korea, Choson period, 18th Century,
This is a very finely potted and glazed pear shaped body rising a full
rounded sides tapering toward the bong and tall neck, and a straight angle
cut mouth rim with incised two lines accented near the rim. It is covered overall
with high quality of pure white glaze. It has a short hair line crack and related two
chips repaired with gold the mouth rim, otherwise it is in fine condition...
This is Noragi used in Shiga area for the Meiji period. The trace which this is a white thread, and was repaired many times is very impressive. As for this, good expression was left by calm good work.
This was left until the present age without being canceled. This has approved beauty by the family from generation to generation. 86cm x 118cm (33.8 "x 46.4")

Only very little distorted half cylinder shaped (hanzutsu) tea bowl made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical, glossy black iron oxide glaze inside and outside, leaving an unglazed 'window' on one side. The 'window' is decorated with chidori (plovers) flying over an irrigation wheelin iron oxide glaze which has then been covered with a clear ash and feldspar glaze...
A warm grained Meiji Period (1868 - 1912) two piece Yonezawa Isho Tansu (clothing chest from Yonezawa) finely constructed of pine (matsu) and highly desirable paulownia (kiri). 42 x 34 x 16 inches (107 x 86 x 41 cm). Very Good Condition. This chest is from Shonai, a region of Yonezawa that makes chests that are highly prized for their combination of understated Japanese design with a sense of tradition.
