This incense burner is cast bronze in a bombe form, having a brownish patina with small patches of verdigris. The base is caste with a six-character Xuande mark (though not of the period). The interior shows evidence of long use and has some areas of verdigris. It is set on a flaring footring which echoes its rather thick flaring lip. There is evidence of wear and use and some tiny nicks to one handle. It is in generally good condition. Purchased in London in 1978...

Beautiful Japanese antique small tansu with locking bar (bo), 3 drawers behind locking bar, locking bar has key and elaborate hardware with kiri mon, bottom drawer has large metal raised lock plate with crane, safe box in lower right hand corner with more metal hardware, two small interior safe drawers, front of keyaki (elm) wood, original finish, Meiji Period. Size: 24 3/4" high x 23 1/4" wide x 13" deep.

This early 20th century ivory carving of a maiden is 15 7/8” high (17 ½” with base), 3 ½” wide and 2 7/8” thick. She wears a simple and elegant robe and holds a bouquet of flowers in front of her. The carving is superb and has nice patina. The wood base is a later made piece. Aside from some small hair line cracks due to its age, the statue is in great condition. A Korean Finely Inlaid and Molded Celadon Octagonal Bowl-13th C.: Korea, Koryo period, 13th Century, It is molded on the interior with a central flower head medallion, each facet on the exterior inlaid with double flower heads on a leafy stem within a rectangle, all within lined in borders, bearing spur marks on the base. It is covered overall with a grayish green celadon glaze. It is in fine condition without any famages except a firing crack near the foot rim...

Antique Chinese beautifully carved altar cabinet, made of jumu wood, flanged top, the top portion has four drawers carved with flowers, the middle portion has two large compartments opened by four drawers on dowel hinges and carved with lions and flowers, the bottom portion has four drawers with no carving, late 19th century. Size: 37" high x 76 3/4" wide x 19 1/4" deep.

A Very Fine Korean Punchong Stoneware White Slip Inlaid Shallow Bowl-15th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 15th century. The Shallow circular dish tapering to a raised ring foot, decorated with inlaid white slip, the interior with a centural flowerhead medallion surrounded by band of smaller impressed flowerheads and stylized curtain rope pattern, the exterior applied with a luster celadon glaze over all, base unglazed. It’s in very fine condition without any damages at all...

This vase is covered overall in brushed slip (hakeme) with three registers of incised horizontal lines from which issue simple flame-like patterns. The brushed slip decoration extends into the flaring mouth and down to the footring. The foot is completely obscured by adhering fused sand from the firing. There are a couple of unintended copper red dots from the glaze. The condition is very good, having no chips cracks or repairs.

Up for sale is a very rare antique Chinese silk brocade panel with a large phoenix roundel in the middle, 11.5" diameter, together with other smaller patterns related to buddhism; Qing dynasty, or could be earlier, very intricate piece of art work with fine gold threads; backed with light yellow-ish silk lining. Overall the panel is in excellent condition, folding line in the middle, one water mark in the roundel which I believe can can be cleaned up. Measurements: Approx 44.5" x 28.5".

Pair of rare hanging apsaras, also known in Japanese as Kuyo Bosatsu or Hiten. The style of the face, the soft appearance of the hands, and the flowing robes are fine examples of the highest quality in Edo Period Buddhist sculpture. One apsara may have been holding an object to offer the Buddhas, while the other is carrying drumsticks and appears to be hitting the drum the apsara is carrying. The pair may have been part of a set long ago, but even so, it is rare to see this set...

This semi-translucent stone is carved in high relief on the bottom in the form of a lotus leaf with pods and buds and stems. It is jade-green in areas and almost clear in others and it shows the numerous flaws running through the stone typical of so-called green quartz (actually fluorite). There are numerous chips and losses around the rim edges...

A rare shape Yuan dynasty blue and white jar, drum shape rounded side with deep center and unglazed base, jar decorated with good underglaze blue of flower motif at the exterior.
Jar is in good condition no damage, slightly wrapp.
