The enamels are rendered in meticulous detail in a pallet of greens, aubergine, yellows, reds and shades of blue. DESCRIPTION: A significant Chinese sculpture featuring a Scholar with his boy attendant, carved from a large slab of burl hardwood. The undulations and knobs of the slightly curving burl slab have been beautifully incorporated into the carving, forming the scholar’s garment and top of his curled hat. The bearded scholar looks slightly upward with a pleasing expression and holds a scroll in his hands. At his side is his young attendant gazing upward with a charming smile...

Extremely fine and rare Doucai 18th century bowl, with well balance potted, decorated with four Dragon medallions among clouds scroll to exterior. The interior center with underglazed blue of dragon medallion. Six characters mark 'Da Qing Kang Xi Nien Zhe' and of the period and indicated as late Kangxi near to reach early Yongzheng. Diameter: 14,5 cm and Height: 7,1 cm.

Six (6) different cups in transitional age and decoration. Painted in different flower sprays and sea scenery's. Condition: Five in perfect condition. Unusual Coiled MING Chinese Bronze Dragon-Chilong, stylized head with scales on top and fancy tail, very artistic, good condition, 18th Century, size: H. 15cm x 6cm diameter in center, dark patina. Comes with heavy copper vase (see our item # 845040)

2 belt buckles (or fibulae) in cast bronze and hot-gilded with mercury. Decorated in relief with bats and clouds on an engraved amati background. In the center are set white jade plates cut in the shape of stylized bats. Two half-pearls are set on the hooks, as they are very worn it is difficult to identify the material, probably reddish translucent stone but perhaps glass paste? Chinese work from the beginning of the Qing period, end of the 17th or beginning of the 18th century...

18th century or earlier Chinese carved marble head of the Buddha. Superb carving, extraordinary beatific face with a slight smile. Wonderful finish to the surface, great feel of age. Pleasantly heavy, comes with very well made hardwood stand. Marble height 7.5 inches, height with stand 10 inches.

This is a dark slightly irridescent toffee-coloured glazed porcelain tripod censer of shallow compressed gobular vessel supported on three flatten bud feet. On the slightly everted mouth rim of the censer, it has a slightly tilted handle to the left and right. The tripod is designed after the popular Ming dynasty Xuande period style. Cir. late 18th to 19th century.

Generally in good condition - No damage. No repair, hairline, crack or chip...

Antique Chinese blue and white glaze porcelain bowl, with a flower petal shaped rim and impressions of lotus petals near the base. It has cobalt blue designs of blooming cherry blossoms, chrysanthemums, and peonies on curved branches, and the image of a pair of birds. The bottom has a double ring and Kangxi period mark, as well as a sticker verifying the age of the piece from the Chait Galleries museum in New York.
