Well known for his intense demeanor, Bodhidharma (Daruma) stands with fly wisk in hand, his signature red monk's robes draped around him. Daruma figures represent perseverance and are believed to bring good fortune. This figure is decorated with polychromatic glazes and painted details.

Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty blue and white porcelain snuff bottle featuring an elaborate hunting scene which includes animals such as wild boar, birds, deer, and a rabbit. Hunters are depicted on foot and riding horseback while shooting bows and arrows. In very good antique condition, no cracks, no hairlines. There are some minor abrasions or loss of glaze at around the rim which may have happened during firing. Height about 3 inches high.

A extremely rare Southern Song ( 1127 – 1279 ) Guan ware, Guanyao washer. The well potted body in a very nice shape covered with a grayish-sea-green glaze with a highly attractive crackle. The light grey ware burnt brown in the firing. Guan´, the official ware of the southern Song court, is perhaps the most admired and desirable of all Chinese ceramics.

Beautiful old Japanese woven silk uchikake gown in new condition. The size of this gown is small (much shorter) and light in weight. This very nice carved ivory okimono of a young farm girl is a mid-19th century product. It is 5 ¾” high (with base is 6 ¾” high), 1 5/8” wide and 2” in depth. It depicts the farm girl carrying a wood and rope woven knapsack on her back. She holds a basket of fruit with both hands in front of her. Her smiling face is simply charming. The wood base might be a later replacement. It has good patina and is in very good condition. More detailed photos are available.

This is a very fine, Qianlong Era (1730 - 1796) , flattened, of spade form Snuff Bottle with a round short neck, concave mouth, and flat concave oval footing. Made of a rare natural Cherry Amber, which is thought to be another form of Jet, with dark inclusions. Its sides are decorated with Foo Dog Masks with short, semi-circular handles, common on bottles made during the Early Qianlong period. The bottle is well-hollowed, with very thin walls, thus, very light in weight (0.4 ounces).
