19th century kagamibuta (mirror lid) netsuke, the top being Chinese carving adopted as netsuke, with deeply undercarved scene of 4 scholars among trees and pavilions. Wonderful crisp carving, great wear and patina, overall in great condition, beautiful rosewood bowl with rich warm colors, freely rotating wooden peg on the back for hanging. Diameter 1 11/16 inches.

Terrific chair mat or small round rug hooked in a pattern of two white cats with large blue eyes and big red bows against a field of blue-grey surrounded by a burgundy and black double border. Hooked on a burlap foundation with wool and cotton. Very good condition, except for some discoloration and wear to the black border. 15" diameter. American, probably New England, 19th century.

Chi Un-Yong (Pack Ryon) (1852-1935): A Poet sage under the Willow tree with Poem: His pen name is Pack Ryon. Hanging scroll, ink and color on silk, fine Japanese style mounting with silk brocade, 51” by 14”, signed Pack Ryon with three seals. It’s in fine condition except for few stain. Reference; Korean Art and Calligraphy by Han Moon-young, published in 2000.

Made of a rare natural Cherry Amber, which is thought to be another form of Jet, with dark inclusions. Its sides are decorated with Foo Dog Masks with short, semi-circular handles, common on bottles made during the Early Qianlong period. The two-tiered round mochi(round rice cake) called "Kagami-mochi",Ise lobster, bitter orange and green leaves. Painted with ink and pigments on paper. Sealed. This antique Chinese box would have been used during the Qing dynasty, possibly by a scholar or shop keeper. The bottom of this box has covered compartments for seals, chops,calligraphy brush, ink sticks and a built in inkstone. There is an abacus built into the lid.

The original hinge pin was lost and has been replaced. The box was made with large dovetail joints and from a hard wood of unknown origins. The outside is dirty and I have not cleaned it...

A beautiful and unusual English double series opaque twist (dsot) wine goblet, the large ogee bowl with honeycomb molding above a stem containing a solid multi-ply spiral band outside of a pair of heavy spiral threads. A substantial conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.

This fine example has wonderful color, striations, and tooling marks, and is in excellent condition with no flaws. The height is 7 1/2", with a bowl diameter of 3 3/8" and a foot diameter of 3 3/5".

An antique Japanese 3 section Isho Tansu made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. Upper section has two sliding doors behind which is a 1/2 split level shelf with 3 side by side drawers below. Center and bottom sections each have 2 large drawers for abundant clothes storage. Here he is depicted gazing upward toward heaven, arms outstretched, wearing his Dominican robe embroidered in gold with a long painted rosary dangling past his waist. This is a large and heavy ancient Chinese nephrite scepter or adze.Measuring slightly more than a foot in length, the piece has two beveled ends, suggesting that it may have been intended for actual use, as opposed to a ritual item. As you will see in the photographs, there is a shallow groove that runs the entire length of the piece, possibly for attaching or securing some sort of handle (?). The stone itself is a mottled green and brown nephrite. Guaranteed ancient.

Beautiful solid mahogany partner's desk made by New York cabinet maker R. J. Horner circa 1900. The desk measures 30" tall x 53" wide x 33" deep. It is supported by four exquisite winged griffins who seem to be guarding whomever sits at it. There are two long drawers at the top, one opening at each side. This wonderful desk is in excellent condition and would definitely be the focal point of any room it sits in.

Chinese Qing dynasty Guang Xu cash coin

This Qing Dynasty Guang Xu Period (1875~1908) Famille Rose seal box is 2” high and 3” in diameter. It depicts two young boys riding on Qi Ling (or Ki Ren, a legendary animal, usually related with young male), another is pushing a cart, carrying a symbolic officer’s hat. There are small floral designs on the rim. Aside from one old chip inside the box and a couple of small chips on the bottom, it is in fairly good condition.
