A rare GENUINE SWATOW MING DYNASTY POLYCHROME BOWL, 1570-1650, with overglaze iron red and green. Fair overall condition, with some wear due to condiderable age inside the bowl. As common in SWATOW WARE, this bowl has sand/kiln/grit deposits on the bottom and outside and because of the high temperatures in the firing kiln, it is not perfectly level, but warped as shown in the photograph. Very well crafted set of Thai tea set with story of Buddha's life in high relief, handles are designed in shape of elephant, tea set finial in shape of an elephant rider, from 19th century period. Size; Teapot, 5 1/2 in. H and 9 in L, sugar is 3.5 in H and 6 in L, creamer is 3 1/4 in H and 4 1/2 in L. Condition consistent with age.

Etruscan Bucchero oenochoe (wine-pitcher), c. 550 BC, thin-walled (sottile), probably from South Etruria. Burnished smooth with black-to-tan color added. Part of one handle and part of the lip reattached 12.75” (32 cm) tall. A small piece on the bottom wasn’t filled so that one can see inside the piece. It was low-fired and is much more fragile than a high-fired piece. Do not hold it by its handles.

This is an extremely rare spear point crafted from pottery and dating at least to the Han period of ancient China (circa 200 BC). It could be older than that but I am having difficulty locating references on these items. Stylistically the piece is likely from one of the minority cultures in Southeast Asian and the only other ones I have seen were attributed to the Dong Son...

This is a very interesting Olmec jade maskette. It dates to 1200BC-600BC. It is 1 3/4" square. It is nicely scooped in the back. It has not been cleaned or polished. It is heavily encrusted with clay type material that will not come off with a pin prick. It does have splitting in several areas. However, the piece is solid and the cracks do not go all the way through. It is not translucent, but it is a very nice quality piece of jade.
