Ming Dynasty, ca. 1600

This tea bowl sized dish is decorated in underglaze cobalt on two sides of the exterior with a rapidly-brushed floral design, and with a flower on the interior base. It is well-potted and raised on a low footring with a recessed base that is glazed and reveals chatter marks from the trimming. The footring was hastily cut, with an uneven, but glazed-over area to one side. The rim shows typical fritting and glaze loss, otherwise there are no cracks or restorations...

A museum piece. Dated Manji 2 (ca. 1659) April Auspicious Day. Large, heavy bronze shrine lantern with hoju embossed under the top petals. Beautiful diaper patterns on the panels. Originally used as an oil lamp. Very good condition. 15" wide x 22" tall. Ask for shipping quote.

Pearlware dinner plate in the Curbing palms pattern, by Job Ridgway, transfer printed in blue, unmarked. Job Ridgway’s manufacture worked for only a short period, 1802 – 1813. A variation of the Willow border and an additional Nankin border surround an Oriental landscape with curbing palm trees and exotic pagodas. Diameter "9 ¾ / 24.7 cm. Condition: fine.

Antique Japanese Bizen ware ceramic figure of Daikoku, the god of wealth and one of the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichi-fuku-jin). Daikoku is seen here seated on top of three large bags of rice. With his right hand he holds his wish-granting mallet over his head. With his left hand he holds a bag of precious things. Bizen ware pottery is made of the reddish brown clay with high iron content that is found in the area around the village of Imbe in Bizen province...

Dochugi made of kudzu fiber for wefts and cotton yarn for warps. Dochugi is a kind of haori worn over kimono and kudzu-fu one is worn in summer. Kudzufu has been produced mainly in Kakegawa in Shizuoka prefecture since 13th century. It was used for hakama (pants), kamishimo and dochugi. The collar and one of straps of this dochugi are replaced. straps have damages and several pin holes in the back and a cut (3cm) in front. It has a slit for a sword in the left side...

A Very Rare Antique Medieval 15th century large gilt bronze Papal ring with Nativity.

The ring is made of cast and gold-gilded bronze, hand-chiseled, engraved, and drilled. It is formed of a ring with cut sides and enlarged ends chiseled with foliage frames.

A rectangular bezel is chiseled in relief with a Nativity scene depicting the Virgin and Child with the heads of the donkey. The ox appears under the roof, surmounted in the corners by two flowers.

An American Brilliant Period (1876-1916) Cut Crystal and Sterling Rim Center Bowl. the Bowl is Hallmarked by The Stone Sterling Silver Company, New York (1896-1903). Netsuke - A mask carver, by Masayuki. The carver is holding his lasted creation, a chisel resting in his other hand. Evidently satisfied with his work, the carver twists his face into the same expression of that of this subject- a kyogen mask of the "liar" (usofuki) type, one eye closed and the lips pursed into a sideways whistle. Japan, Asakusa, Edo (1603-1868) 19th century.

Burl wood and silver bowl, used for Tsampa, the traditional Tibetan porridge, and for buttered tea. The silver lining plain, the exterior with chased and delicately engraved decoration of flowers. Tibetan silver normally lacks hallmarks and this bowl tested for a silver content of 925 /1000. Probably antique, late 19th or early 20th century. Diameter "4 ½ / 11 cm, height "2 ¼ / 5.7 cm. An exceptional and rare cameo glass bride basket on quadruple silver plate stand. The rose colored cameo is striking and as fresh today as it was c. 1880 when it was first created. Wood carving Ebisu god image scorched and half-melted by conflagration, which turned to more fascinating abstract sculpture as the result. Edo period (1603-1868), Japan. approx. H 28 x W 22 x D 15.5cm (11.02 x 8.66 x 6.10in). Stained with its soot when touch, though depends on the part. Insertion joint is unstable and shaky back and forth, but it will be no problem when just leave it alone.
