Rare woman’s pictorial shoulder cloth from a Chin subgroup (Khami, Khumi or Mro) living in the Rakhine and Chin states, west Myanmar. Please note that the pattern is hand embroidered on one side only and not woven in, also most of the geometric woven patterns are unique with only a couple of repetitions. These 12 porcelain cream soup cups and saucers were produced in England by the Royal Cauldon Factory around 1900. The saucers measure 5 ¾ inches in diameter and the cups are 6 inches across the handles and 2 inches high. The cups feature graceful scalloped pedestal bases and split branch handles. All pieces are decorated with elaborate gilding that nearly covers the entire surface.
