Excellently potted japanese porcelain dishes, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with a nice landscape scenery. Nabeshima - style, Meiji Period 1868 - 1912 ) Diameter : 20,8 cm. Condition : No crack, but each of the dishes has a small chip which is old repaired in Kintsugi technique ( Japanese Gold Lacquer repair.) Provenance : Old German collection. Antique Chinese 3-piece hardwood desk with a beautiful gradient finish in hues of deep red. The first section sits on top with four brass handle drawers, and sits on two separate pieces with a single hinged door and carved side panels. Mid 18th century bronze sitting Guan Yin statue from Nepal. It is 8 ½ inches tall, 5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. A few holes have appeared in the thinner parts of the casting and two fingers are missing. It is in fair condition.

A fine Late 19th Century (circa 1880) Meiji Period Gosho Ningyo of Momotaro the Peach Boy, based on a famous Japanese legend. This beautiful Gosho is elaborately detailed and fully armored, holding a banner with peach finial. The peach symbol appears several times on this magical Gosho. His wonderful face expresses his nobility. Carved entirely of wood and covered with highly burnished Gofun. 13 inches (33cm) height.

Beautiful Japanese keyaki wood zeni bako, or money box, the top of which has a handled door with three studded iron hinges and flower-shaped lockpin, and thin iron slot for depositing money, dropping into a small drawer with an iron lockplate. This is a wonderful slender pear shaped bronze vase from the Meiji era (1868-1912. It is highly detailed and decorated with three raised relief elephants. One of the images was deliberately overexposed to show off the fine detail. It has the original patina and is in excellent condition. Stands 12 3/4 inches tall and is signed underneath by Genryusai Seiya. Buyers should be careful because there are poor copies or fakes of this elephant vase showing up in auctions.

Up for sale is this wonderfully textured 19th century Japanese cast iron tea kettle made by noted Kyoto-school tetsubin craftsman Kibundo ( 1812-1892 ).

It is cast in high relief with the image of writings and a landscape.

This fine kettle bears the body-mark “Kibundo zo” and a remnant of the square seal mark of Kibundo on the bottom.

The quality of the relief casting is superb...
