This early 20th century pale green porcelain Guan Yin is 9 inches tall. The image of Guan Yin holding a baby boy is a fertility symbol in Chinese custom. It is in good condition.

Beautiful porcelain blue and white plate, made with ground cobalt for the deep blue underglaze, featuring a ferocious dragon surrounded by swirling patterns and blooming lotuses on the plate's face, and striped Chinese lions (or foo dogs) around the bottom outer parameter, "Jiajing" mark to base. Size: 1.5" height, 8.75" diameter

Well potted with thick, even celadon glaze overall except for the unglazed base and foot. The glaze is of a deep green tone and crackled all over covering the interior of the neck as well. Three floral form appliques decorate the shoulder just below three concentric rings leading up to the neck. A few minor earth stains remain from burial. Overall very good condition.
