Antique Japanese small tansu chest made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. The chest is configured with seven drawers of various sizes: 3 small drawers above 2 medium drawers above 2 large drawers. Black iron hardware includes 7 round lock plates, circular corner bracing and square drawer pulls.

Pair Tibetan Himalayan Wool hand made Wool Prayer or Meditation Rug, or Seat Cover in the monastery, Ca. early 1900's, 26" x 24" wide, five(5) different type of animal, Pig, Donkey, Sheep, Phoenix Bird, Bird inside shaped center with Greek Key border within inner and outer border. Even worn area throughout and some flat area in the middle. Purchased in Tibet long time ago, in good reasonable condition.

Cute porcelain snuff bottle delicately carved in the shape of a smiling man sitting atop a pile of leaves, wearing a blue robe with gold flecks and creases and magenta bottoms, holding a peach, with a gourd bottle strapped around his back. The topper is carved from coral and resembles the cap of the gourd bottle. 19th century Size: 2.5" tall, .85" wide

This is a beautiful early Japanese satsuma vase. It is made in the style and quality of mercury/gold fired Meizan pieces, except it stands 18 inches tall. It also features a basket weave design and extensive enamel work. It's unsigned and a very heavy piece. The bottom edge is rough so a stand or protection will be needed to keep it from scratching surfaces. This rare piece belongs in a museum.

Extremely rare large double gourd blue and white vase with slight flared rim with petals pattern, well balance potted and below decorated with lotus scrolling. Ming Dynasty 16th-17th century Jiajing-Wanli period in perfect condition, no any chips, no any cracks and free from any restoration. Height: 38 cm. Found at South Sulawesi Palopo area.

This is a very beautiful and finely potted Qing dynasty famille noir mille fleurs (Thousand Flowers) plate. It is painted very densely with shades of enameled pink, yellow, blue, brown, white and green with multitude of flowers and plants. It includes peonies, lotus, hydrangea, chrysanthemum, narcissus, daisies, lily, hibiscus, iris and several other flowers covering the entire plate in black background, with the foliage and gold tendrils binding all the flowers together...

An interesting Japanese Arita saucer form dish decorated in a transitional style incorporating elements of the Kakiemon style, notably the asymmetric elements within the reserves to the outer rim of the dish, with Katamono style motifs dating to the late 17th century or early 18th century and made for the domestic market. Indian bronze sculpture of Shiva Nataraja (Lord of the Dance) in his destructive aspect, an attribute in each of his eight hands, he stands on a dwarf, early 20th century. Size: 39" high x 22 1/2" wide

Middle 19th century Chinese white jade Pi. The piece is 2 ¼ inches in diameter and 5/16 inches thick. A pinhead (Gu) design is on one side; the other side has a five scroll design. The carved wood stand has six round vase shaped corners. There is a tiny chip on the rim of the jade and a small piece is missing on the curve of the stand. It is in good condition.

Historically, fusuma were often painted with scenes from nature such as mountains, forests, or animals. The traditional scale of the door is 5'7". The Hinoki wood panels are painted with Rimpa paint and flecks of gold, creating a mist. The floral composition is with camellia, cherry blossom, hollyhock, and chrysanthemums.

The camellia flowers symbolize young sons and daughter. Tsubaki (camellia) symbolizes the divine, faithfulness and longevity...

A fine Song dynasty longquan celadon large bowl, decorated with raising lotus petals motif at exterior, bowl covered with bluish green celadon glaze, good condition no damage with crackled / lines at glaze surface, no chip, no crack, no restoration, good high ping sound with finger tip, size: 21 cm diameter.

Very nice early Ming "deep" bowled plate with a thick light green crackled glaze. In very good condition without any chips. Good symmetry overall. Diameter: 10 inches, height is 2 and half inches.

The carved overlay glass snuff bottle is an early 20th century product. The red over clear glass snuff bottle is 2 ¾” high, 1 5/8” wide and 3/4” thick. Both sides have the same design which depicts a blossom tree. It has a light carnelian cap which is a later replacement. It is in great condition.

A very rare Bronze Seal that was used as a pendant with an old glass bead. There are still remnants of the gold leaf surrounding the seal. I judge it as a Han seal or earlier. I have never came across one like this before

Antique Japanese wrought iron lantern with garden scenes. The lantern would have been placed in a temple where a candle would have been lit. The This lantern has four panels: the door: a bird, bamboo branch, tree, sun in the clouds. The lid is round with a handle for hanging. The base is round with three feet. The door latches closed. It measures 11" diameter, 8" tall. Taisho period, circa 1920.

A beautiful Chinese lacquer box, with an apocryphal Qianlong gold tone metal plate on the underside. This unique box has China painted on the inside which indicates about an 1890 date when the McKinley act was introduced. The box measures 5 3/4" x 4" x 2" and is very dense and heavy for its size. It is a charming and inexpensive example for your existing lacquer collection.
