A large late Ming dynasty blue and white "Kraak" porcelain dish. The central star-shaped panel is decorated with flowering plants and a grasshopper or cricket on rockwork. The moulded sides are painted with alternating vertical panels of stylized peaches and buddhistic symbols. This item was made in China for export to Europe during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619)...

This hand made 19th century Chinese sterling silver inkwell is 2 ½ inches long, 2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches high. It depicts a cormorant sitting on a fishing basket. It has “sterling silver” (in Chinese) stamped on the bottom and a glass container inside. It has nice patina and is in excellent condition.

This is a great Japanese cloisonne vase signed by Hayashi Kodenji. It has a large 4 sided form and is prolifically decorated on all sides. The enamel just glows and the workmanship is spectacular. The scattered sparrows are all done in gold wire. Overall condition is excellent. There is a circular craze on one of the shoulders that is not easy to notice. It take very bright light to see it...

A Japanese iron garden lantern often referred to as a toro. Often these lanterns are placed within a garden setting to guide guests towards a tea house or an entrance to a building. The iron lantern contains a short inscription with the date when the piece was made (first year of Taisho, 1912) and that the lantern was made by Yojiro. It depicts a lady sitting on a garden rock in front of a cherry blossom reading book; a young maid is standing next to her watching. This porcelain dish is in the shape of an abalone shell with underglaze blue and overglaze enamel decoration. It is raised on a low footring with an underglaze blue four character mark reading, “Made in the Great Ming.” There is minor glaze wear to the interior and minor firing flaws. There are no cracks or restorations.

An elaborate Japanese coral, silver, and gilt kanzashi (hair pin) formed as a peony spray with butterly shaped pendants hanging from silver chains. The body is made out of stronger mixed metal, Meiji/Taisho period. Kanzashi 8" long, chains 3 1/4" long.

Description: A green-glazed Cizhou bowl was exquisitely mold in a type of the famous Ding ware.
Thinly mold, the bowl was decorated in the cavetto with vibrant image of swans swimming in the lotus pond.
As delicate as the precious Ding ware, the bowl was finely made by the excellent craftsmanship of the potters.
That made the ware a sought-after piece.
In a fragile form, the bowl was preserved in a very good condition, despite minor defects were found at the foot ring when charming...

A rare northern Song dynasty longquan celadon large washer, rounded side with everted rim and unglazed base, bowl decorated with carved rising lotus petal motif at exterior, plain motif at interior covered with green glaze.
Washer is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, porcelain with high ping sound with finger tip, minor crackled glaze at the surface.

A rare mirror black "famille noire" enamelled jar and cover depicting two birds perched on a branch of iron red flowering prunus blossom over green enamelled rockwork. This item is decorated in late Kangxi style (circa 1700-1720) but it was made later, during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - there is a hairline crack to the cover (please view enlargement 9); the jar itself is in excellent condition with no damages and no restoration. 14.5cm (5.75inches) high.

A superb early Qing Shunzhi - Kangxi wucai baluster jar, this large jar has straight neck, broad shoulders with sides tapering towards and flat unglazed base. This jar is painted in under glaze blue and over glaze red, green, and yellow over glaze enamel, there is scenery of human motif in four panel radiating on each side, neck with flower motif.
